What does a UV sterilizer do? What's the purpose of getting one? I'm just browsing 29 gal biocube accessories...Thanks!!!

They help control algae and I'm sure it kills other good or bad things that pass through it. I leave mine on all the time and never have an issue with algae and haven't had a fish die since using it over the last 3 months. Prior to installing it, I had 3 fish die over two weeks.

The light indicator on the side of the product won’t turn on. Had it for two weeks and now it’s gone. Can I exchange it for a new one?

Return it. They’ll replace it. Replacement lights aren’t worth it. They cost like 3/4 of the cost of the whole unit

Is this supposed to be fully submerged? If it is that’s going to raise my water a little higher than desirable in chambers 2 and 3?
