Sweet's Key Lime Salt Water Taffy, 3 Pound

Its good and tart like key lime should be. Its delicious, i will be buying this again and useing it in out daughter's wedding favors

It began somewhere in the 1980's... It started small... Starburst replaced my favorite flavor, Lime, with cherry. I was angry. I felt violated. But I knew that any time I reached into a bowl of candy, a green candy was always going to be lime, unless I was stuck in a room full of elderly bridge players and I accidentally encountered a bowl of spice drops. But then, in one type of candy after another, my delicious favorite lime, was being replaced by a rather disgusting sour apple flavor. I guarantee any kid born after 2000 fastidiously believes that green is supposed to be apple. If you are like me, one of the survivors of our great lime empire, scattered to the ends of the known universe, forced to hide in secret from the green apple dominators scouring the landscape trying to locate and terminate us, rest assured that this bag of candy will be your salvation. Three pounds of Key Lime taffy and it is such a vibrant, pure, delicious lime (although it really is more the classic lime flavor than "key" lime), three pounds and it will almost be too much lime. I know that will be hard for you to believe. If you told me last week there would be too much lime, I would have smacked the teeth out of your mouth, but seriously, after years in the dark, this bag of candy will actually leave your lime cravings quickly fulfilled. 3 pounds of taffy is alot more than you would think it is. We will be eating this for a long time to come. This brand has a very strong lime flavor that will make your lips pucker and mouth water. 100% delicious! I will order again once the temps cool back down. Not sure how well this bag would do in box truck in the summer heat as it seems to have a rather low melting temperature. Just having it on my counter had some pieces turning into sticky goo. But placing the bag in the fridge solved that problem.

If you want it to taste like Key Lime PIE, move on along. I was hoping the white swirl was a sweet cream flavor and the green a key lime flavor, and that together they would taste like key lime pie heaven. Alas, no. The whole thing is just a strong plain ol' lime flavor, rather strong. It's like when you get the fruit flavored tootsie rolls - there's a lime flavor in there. This is like that, only less sweet and stronger lime flavor. But just regular lime, not really key lime. Yes, there's a difference! The taffy itself is good quality, soft, yet long-lasting.

Why is it so difficult to find lime saltwater taffy? Think about that. Everyone has cherry, vanilla, mint, chocolate, and even those zany college mascot flavors. But lime? Hmm. I will never know why it's not a standard saltwater taffy flavor. So I've looked for it, and looked for it. Whenever I found it in a little shop on the coast, I got it. And the next time, the shop order person couldn't get it again. Thankfully, this product is wonderful and a full lime flavor. I am content.

These are NOT sweet lime taffy. Is sooo sour! Also they are soooo hard & stale little shards of hard slivers go everywhere when you peel em open and not allowed to return or get refund.... terrible!

These have a great taste. Only thing was several pieces were melted together.

My Husband is southern knows key lime taste but this is more lime very tart but we’re tasty used for party guests enjoyed!
