Will this help whiten and not just lighten ???

Yes if you use every day and night for a minimum of 4 months if you are dark to medium browns but if you are more pale this will whiten your skin very fast if u use day and night consistently as in 2 months or more. Its very important to use a good moisturizer I use Cetaphil Restoraderm.
