Can you use 16G series with this nail gun

No. It runs with 18G, 2mm wide, 15mm to 32mm Type F nails. + 18G 5.7mm Crown width, 18mm to 25mm Type 600 Staples. Hope that helps you.

what type of staples? type 90 or 91 or both.

I`m using Type 90, only last week brought a 5000 box of "Fixman" from Amazon

Can not see why not. Best check the thickness of the wood first.
