Icing Sugar Alternative - Keto and Vegan Friendly Sweetener for Baking - 220G (Pack of 4)

I iced cupcakes with this, and nobody in the family knew I hadn't used "real" icing sugar! I made butter icing for them, and it mixed well, and tasted great. As with all no-sugar products, this is more than I would like to pay for it, but it's so worth it when you're diabetic, to know that an occasional treat isn't going to send your sugars soaring skywards.

This is far too sweet. So sweet it was inedible. Even my family who have very sweet tooth could not eat it made them cough.

Is exactly like icing sugar in every way. Bought to decorate a cake for my mum who's diabetic, she loved it. Would have given 5 stars but for the price and quantity, it's expensive and I really didn't need 4 bags! Still it's practically calorie free so I can indulge in guilt free extras on my own cakes 😃

I didn’t know there was an icing sugar alternative so when I saw this Pure Via Baker’s Secret sugar alternative I was keen to try it. You get 4 packs of 220g of icing sugar alternative in resealable bags. It’s made from erythritol and corn starch. Erythritol is naturally sourced from a fermentation process found in fruit like pears and grapes. It’s just 15 calories per 100g of icing sugar alternative whereas icing sugar is a whopping 400 calories per 100g. It mixes well with water, milk and egg white and looks just like icing sugar but to be fair in its raw state doesn’t taste quite like icing sugar but tastes cold (as does all sweetners) and it doesn’t taste as sweet, but it’s an acceptable alternative and if you’re cutting out sugar then this allows you to still bake cakes and biscuits, though cut down your fats too like butter to a cooking margarine. This icing sugar alternative is vegan and suitable with Keto recipes. It has a long use by date on the base of August 2023. It's okay, but I wouldn't buy again as personally think it has a funny taste when used as a butter icing.

I love baking and I must say I am very impressed with this icing sugar substitute. I usually grind Xilitol to make a healthier alternative when baking or cooking but finally I found this and I am thoroughly satisfied. The taste and texture is amazing ( I absolutely love erythritol) and this product is well worth its price. I would highly recommend it.
