Miracle eye brightening cream!
I’ve recently been growing insecure due to the dark circles under my eyes. I’m 20 and I’ve always been told that I was too young to use these products. Yet, I’ve always looked the most tired and consciously aware of my dark circles. Since using this Neals Yard eye brightener for the last 2 weeks I have looked so refreshed! Indeed, I may not feel refreshed, but the vast majority of my dark circles have vanished, it’s a miracle! The eye brightener comes in a small tube which is super easy to squeeze and hence apply. I’ve been putting a pea size under and above my eye to cover around the areas. It’s a serum gel consistency and soaks into the skin well. I massage it for a few seconds and make this a priority before bed and when I wake up. It pairs wonderfully with Neals Yards wild rose moisturiser which has had incredible results so far! :)This product has a faint natural rose fragrance which is soothing and calming for the skin. I would say that it is unisex and appropriate for everyone who needs some pampering and TLC in their life. No irritations whatsoever. Another incredible product by Neals Yard! 5 stars!Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! :)

Moisturising but no change to radiance or black circles
A review from the wife... This eye cream has a nice subtle rose scent to it. It is light and absorbs well into the skin. It has a cooling effect around the eye. The tube design is slightly frustrating; you don't need a lot as it's eye cream but as the tube gets emptier, it gets harder to get just a small amount of cream. It might have been better in a small tub. Other than the cooling effect and moisturising well enough, I haven't noticed any changes to the radiance of my skin or the reduction of black circles. It is therefore very expensive at £16.20 for 10ml for what feels like a standard eye cream.

Contains caffeine and coffee oil
Marked down a star because there is no photo of the ingredients and no list of the ingredients on the Amazon page. This is a tiny bottle and you use a tiny amount. I have used it once and can see that the bags under my eyes have reduced slightly, so something in it is causing my skin to hydrate or expand. This is £18 for a one-off purchase – the same price as on the Neal’s Yard own website, but on their website you get a gift if you spend more than £60. You get a discount on Amazon for repeat purchase. For such a high price, some of the main ingredients are fairly standard for a quality moisturiser, and overlap with the Neal’s Yard day cream that I am also using. The main difference is the addition of caffeine and coffee seed oil. I am not entirely convinced of the added value of using a specialised cream for under the eyes long term. From the top, the ingredients are:Water – the first ingredient for many creams that rub in easily but which may reduce staying powerCaprylic/Capric Triglyceride, usually made from combining coconut oil with glycerin. Emollients work by trapping moisture in your skin and forming a protective layer so the moisture can’t escape. Caprylic triglyceride is an effective skin-softening ingredientGlycerin – which absorbs water and which can damage the skin by drawing water from lower layers of the skin but which is common in hand creams - not really for overnight useCoffee seed oil - Some studies have shown that coffee (specifically coffee oil) has similar effects on the skin as the anti-aging skincare ingredient hyaluronic acid. Coffee seed oil can increase collagen and elastin, making the skin look and feel firmer.Ethyl olivate - Olive oil is very beneficial for skin since it contains ingredients similar to some fatty acids present in the skin surface. The oil is obtained by crushing the olive fruits. It is mainly used to replace silicones such as dimethicones or polydimethylsiloxaneShea butter, a plant-based emollient that mimics the lipid content of the skin. It acts as a good skin conditioning agent and is used on dry and dehydrated skin and deep wrinkles, promoting a soft, smooth, healthy skin appearance. Shea butter also contains substances that can reduce skin swelling. This might help treat conditions associated with skin swelling such as eczema.Arachidyl alcohol - as an emollient, arachidyl alcohol works to soften and soothe the skin (or hair) while also acting as an occlusive agent. Upon application, occlusive agents form a protective film on the surface of skin, which helps to prevent evaporation of the skin's natural moistureCaffeine which is a vasoconstrictor, which means it makes the blood vessels constrict, or tighten. That, in turn, reduces blood flow to the skin and makes your skin look brighter and smootherAnd a few other padders and nice smelly things.
