Great little unit for the price. Used it to clean a few small parts on a car restoration that were proving difficult to sand by hand before paint. Have used it on a verity of different parts now mostly because it’s way more convenient and quicker to use this rather then trying to sand them by hand. I’m sure it would work fine on a larger scale job but would obviously take a long time. It’s perfect for the smaller jobs. Update! I just rd painted the front doors to my house that have some complicated trim pieces all over it. Sanding the flat surfaces by hand is obviously easy but I did not want to spend hours getting into the nooks and crannies sanding by hand. Used this to do it instead. A few hours job turned into the whole door being ready in about 30 minutes.

This blaster is fantastic. It was super easy to use and does one heck of a job with 120 grit aluminum oxide powered by 140 psi out of my 15 gallon Dewalt compressor. Even though I was doing 5 small jobs, I had to refill the hopper three times. I was not filling the hopper full, about 2 cups of media each fill, and soon realized I should have gotten the siphon blaster. That said, I could not be more pleased with the job it did. I must say, out of the box I was not impressed, but after using I am wondering what took me so long to get one. It ate rust and epoxy based paint with ease, leaving a beautiful matte finish on stainless steel and a surface ready to paint on regular steel. If you’re one the fence about getting one, do it, but strongly consider the unit with the siphon.

After receiving a used/non-working unit the company was very responsive and shipped a functional replacement immediately—this was great. Product works as advertised, is very light and comfortable to use, and replacing nozzles is easy. I’d recommend taping and using a quick-release adapter on the inlet—not clear how well the threads will hold up (they were stripped bare on the first used unit). Lots of people commented that it chews through blaster medium, but it seemed like typical usage to me compared to a dedicated sand blaster :shrug: For anything but small projects you’ll be filling it a lot, which may be a blocker depending on your usage—but when you don’t want to pull around a dedicated unit or set up a siphon unit it’s super-convenient.

$40 and media the possibilities are endless. I have a lot of time behind blasting cabinets and working in a shop so I know my way around the blaster. I tried to buy one back in the day maybe 20 years ago, but it was a joke. so .. I had absolutely no expectation, but this hopper above the handle idea just works.! The thing will crank as much sand and air as you could supply. From woodworking crafts to car parts, to even firearm parts. it does it all. I’m totally impressed. I love it.! And if you’re using it just to get through a little part of your project that needs sandblasting it’s well worth it. Also you can’t beat the price. Again, I had the top loader hopper style.

I used it to remove finish and stain from the recessed areas of 26 raised panel maple cabinet doors using "fine" walnut shell media. The walnut shell media specify a mesh size but seemed to be appropriate. The work was slow, taking about 2 days, but I don't know of any other way to do this job since I was refinishing in a lighter color. Used a 4.8 cfm at 90 psi compressor which was minimal - I had to wait for it to catch up periodically, but used that time to dump more media in the hopper. It is important to use a water separator, about $10, and it works best on dry days. I found one made from clear plastic with a schrader valve for releasing moisture buildup. Still the blaster would gum up occasionally requiring disassembly. Note that they seem to make the connections opposite from what you would need to attach the separator directly, requiring adapters on either end! The hopper empties quickly - the job would go much faster with a larger hopper or a blasting cabinet large enough to accommodate the doors, with a suction type blaster. I am guessing this would require even more air volume. The media goes EVERYWHERE! Do it outside on a 20' x 20' tarp and plan on recycling the media many times. That or build a large enough blasting cabinet to accommodate your project. Use full protective gear including long sleeves, canister type face mask, face shield, and gloves. Still the media winds up in your pockets, shoes, ears, etc.

I purchased this gun to replace a gun I purchased last year that just was a real pain to use. This gun has performed flawlessly. I've used it primarily to clean motorcycle parts and outdoor ornaments. Easy to set up and light weight for moving around with. My only complaint is that the airline connector included was not the right one for a quick connect 1/4" setup. I replaced it with a spare that I had here from other air tools. It is easy to fill and with the two different nozzles and the flow adjuster it has proven invaluable. Being a gravity fed instead of a siphon gun your only connection is the air hose which makes it quite flexible in where and how it is used. Great bang for the price!

This product while poorly made and negatively reviewd by many I still gave it a try. The priced me to believe the IT might be the exception to all the others that look EXACTLY like It only to find 1min in to using it to find it was not going to work. It didnt work. Sand everywhere even while using it in a enclosed container. The instruction to keep "it upright" was not ,that I recall in the description as to its qualities or in this case inequalities. I think it would be cost effective to have a complete description even if it includes how the product CAN or CAN NOT be used for the end user. Its cost i thought is sometimes a helpful hint as to the quality of a product. After utilizing I found a video of a reviewer online who had paid $19. , I paid $65. That's a pretty wide gap in cost. I'm disappointed and saddened and now have lost days due to this setback delay of why I purchased it In the first place. Dont buy this unless you like plastic garbage to collect dust in your workroom.

I bought this to remove rust from my 1989 Land Rover Defender 90 bulkhead. The metal in the area is ply-sheet metal. In other words, it’s several sheets of 20 gauge sheet steel, spot welded together. My angle grinders tended to take off too much regardless of the grit of the wheel or finesse on my part. The package arrived within a couple days and actually comes with a 1/4” NPT connector I was able to use for once. After looking at the prices on Amazon for medium to use with it, I decided to look at my local hardware store. I was delighted to find they had fine grit “blasting sand” packaged in a 100 pound bag for......... $7.00!! The cheapest I’ve seen on Amazon is $15 while most are $30 for 8 pounds! Granted, the Amazon products are probably better at cutting but I figure what the $7 sand lacks in cutting power, will be made up in volume lol! I was right! I have a silent (sort of) running, 20galon Husky air compressor, with a line filter/dryer already and it worked like a champ. The sand will fall out of the nozzle if angled downward too much but I found a little downward angle keeps a consistent flow coming out without too much waste. As to the rust, it cut it without issue and with no damage to the good steel beneath. However, it does not cut through the thick, old paint easily, although that probably has to do with the sand I’m using more so and the gun itself. In conclusion, I’m happy with the purchase for this project. I know I’ll also be able to use it on other projects involving wood without damage. It’s perfect for the home DIY shop as you do not need a 30-60 gallon compressor for good performance.

Merits: This is portable blaster. Serves the purpose to blast a small or spot touch ups. Demerits: very expensive and no details provided to procure the consumables like ceramic nozzles etc.

It works awesome, simple+sturdy. Get the good sand,keep it dry I’ve already used it on several small projects. I only have a 8 gallon compressor and it’s plenty.

Works very well, I use kiln dried sand…no problem whatsoever, also used 0.5 professional sand and no wear after 5 hours of continuous use….it’s very good design so far! Will update after a few months
