Lovely printed book and easy to use for little fingers. Gets picked up and looked at lots

Smaller than expected, and with fewer pages and words. It’s a very thick and sturdy board book almost like a range of animal toys joined together by a spine. Few words, no story, a short read — a little too short for my near-two-year-old, but probably lovely for an earlier reader. More animals on the page than are named in the text, but still a little less interest per page than we’d hoped. Nonetheless the illustrations are beautiful and it’s very finely made.

I bought this product to celebrate the birth of a friend's baby. The shape - with the outline of different animals - is really novel and I think young children will find that amusing in itself. There is some text for adults to read, it isn't a substantial story, just a bit of narrative to go with the images.
