Host Defense MyCommunity Extract, Immune Support, 4 fl oz

I’ve paid close attention to how I feel; better mood, more alertness & silenced the ringing in my left ear. Hearing loss is a brain function; I feel like this is so very beneficial for my mental health & energy. Love this liquid, more effective than pills.

I have been using this everyday for the past two years and I live by this. I am fighting Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) stage 3c - I was diagnosed in Dec of 2025. I just did my last treatment of chemo a month ago and not one time did I have serious health issues that comes with chemo. Yes I lost my hair, and I have Neuropathy because of the chemo and other chemo side effects but everything else like my blood levels and organ levels remained safe. I want to believe this helps me fight. I will be doing Immunotherapy for the next two years and I will make sure I keep this supplement.

My 3 year old son has had a chronic cough, asthma, and susceptibility to viral infections for over two years. We have been through so many rounds of antibiotics, daily use of inhalers, nebulizers with steroids and bronchodilators. He coughed nightly with recurrent bouts of pneumonia and always walked around with a runny nose and bags under his eyes. I'm trained in both Eastern and Western medicine. Trust me, I have tried SO many standard and alternative remedies for my little guy...he just did not improve. His doctors finally referred us to a pulmonary specialist at Stanford. While we were waiting for the appointment (3+ months) we started using Host Defense liquid. It has been absolutely incredible! He has not been sick ONCE in six months (surrounded by sick kids at his daycare), his cough stopped immediately, no runny nose, and the bags under his eyes are gone. He is growing and thriving again and it is an absolute blessing! This is how we dose it for him: One dropperfull in a small cup. Add a very small amount of boiling water and let the alcohol evaporate for a minute. Pour in a little bit of honey and stir it until it melts. Add in some cooler water and drink! We do it nightly and he asks for his "honey drink" before bed. When we finally went to the pulmonary specialist, his symptoms had been gone for three months and he was not needing any medication. I almost cancelled the appointment because we didn't need it, but instead I brought in an empty bottle of the mushrooms and told the doctor to recommend it to her other sick kids. Needless to say, my entire family uses it now. The taste isn't that bad. If my 3 year old can drink it, I'm sure most people can find a way to get it into their system.

I was mainly taking this as a preventative-- trying to prevent myself from ever getting cancer, etc., and while I have no way of telling whether it works on that or not at this point, I can say that it has already helped my immune system significantly enough for me to notice it. For example, I had issues (minor infections, sores) with my gums and my mouth before I started taking this on a daily basis for over a month, and they all went away. I do a lot of gardening and I get lots of scratches, cuts, and scrapes on my arms, hands, and legs. I notice now that they heal up much faster than in the past. Almost every afternoon I used to get a low grade fever after a busy day of various activities, and now, while I may be tired at the end of the day, I don't get that fever anymore. So, I can say that this stuff has actually helped my immune system and for that it is worth what I paid for it. I do take other things as well for my immune system, but I was already taking them before I started taking this, and I only noticed the major difference in how I felt and how quickly I healed up after I started taking this mushroom extract. Here are the other things I already did on a daily basis for my immune system: Lifeway Kefir (you can find it at grocery stores and it is the best probiotic I have ever found), potato starch (this feeds the good bacteria), oat bran, freshly ground flax seeds, chia seeds, chlorella algae, green tea, dark chocolate, blueberries, tart cherry juice, turmeric, ginger, raw almonds, freshly sprouted seeds, and lots of dark leafy greens like kale, collards, swiss chard, etc. UPDATE: July 15th, 2016 I still take this on a daily basis and it still helps, but I now also take Astaxanthin (12 mg) daily and it seems to work with this and has completely knocked out all the inflamation and gum pain I had. It knocked out the low grade fever entirely. Small sores and minor infections healed up rapidly. So, I say take both medicinal mushrooms and astaxanthin. I also take two other mushroom supplements, and I like them, too.

Can't say it has done much for me but after taking it it for several months and going through a few bottles during that period I have felt more energetic usually, less fatigued and feel better, plus I don't get sick as easily.

This helps with memory, that thing where u walk into a room and can’t remember why ur in there or can’t remember the name of something!! This totally helps. I just put it in my coffee every morning and after a week my memory is better. I take it daily now.

Host Defense is a trusted brand in our home. I’ve been using the tinctures for a couple of years and swear by them. The quality is always amazing, definitely worth the price. As long as Paul Stamets is the owner of Host Defense, I will continue to buy it.

Love how effective this product is! I take it as soon as I feel something coming on and it works like magic.
