Iceland Hydrating Eye Stick

I've purchased this eye stick about a dozen times. PROS: cooling & soothing feel, relaxing, spa-like scent, reduces bags and puffiness, reduces dark circles, makes me feel pampered, moisturizing, inexpensive, roll-on application is easy CONS: SMALL portion leaving you to either need to buy in bulk or buy every month so you won't run out, there's still a lot of product left in the container once it's "done." Either you waste the rest of the product or have half a dozen tubes of it sitting around where you're trying to get that last little bit out. I speak from experience. And yet, I will buy again. TBH, I think I really enjoy the calming scent the most. I know that's not its purpose, but it makes me feel... peaceful. That sounds a bit silly to me as I admit it, but it has been a big part if me hitting that "reorder" button!

I'm always skeptical about the "perfect" cosmetics showcased on TikTok or in reviews. And the whole K-beauty thing just got a 'meh' from me....I really cannot be bothered with make-up, don't like spending the time on masks and so on, but I do love a good product that is quick and easy and - if the gods are smiling - does what it is supposed to. This eye stick is insanely off the charts on all counts: - very subtle scent that I actually look forward to (and I usually choose unscented everything) - moisturizing, but not greasy or oily - chill. Seriously, this thing goes on icy without the usual peppermint / eucalyptus / wintergreen / medicinal scent. - cute packaging (always a plus, though the bear does look a bit critical when seen from above or on the level. Looks warm and friendly from below. Don't know if anyone cares, I find it amusing). - feels like an absolute luxury and takes only seconds. I use this as a pick-me-up for when I am tired or feel sluggish (7am? 3pm, anyone? 10:30pm? 1:00am when that "thing" is due?), or just as an "ooh, 5-second-spa moment"! I also swipe it out to the outer edge of the eyes (where you would find crow's feet). This holiday, I am gifting it to friends as one of my favourite things (also, not a huge gift to inspire embarrassment, just a small thoughtful something). The price also helps. NOTE: I often start application by dabbing the skin, and then slowly begin to run it across the skin. Under-eye skin is very fragile and sensitive, and I don't want to encourage stretching / increasing any bags that may be in my future. Also, I just don't like the feeling of dragging the skin.

I liked this enough to finish and bought a second one, but I probably won't purchase a third. Here's why: Pros: -This product does reduce dark circles a bit with a nice cooling effect. -I have very sensitive skin that breaks out with most eye products, but this did not break me out! -Slightly hydrating, great for combo/oily, might work for normal skin -Small noticeable 'tightening' effect on fine lines/wrinkles Cons: -When I tried to use this under or over my more hydrating eye cream (my skin gets dry in winter), this product pilled up on me. -This always pills under my makeup as well, or leaves odd streaks if I try to put it on top. Even waiting 5-10 mins before putting on makeup didn't help. -There really isn't much product in the tube. The first one lasted about 5-6 weeks of almost daily use before it ran low. Neutral (good to know but not a repurchase factor) -Product smells like kind of like sweet seaweed which I really don't like, but it dissipates quickly so it's a non-issue.

The one thing I liked about this product is that it's very soothing and cooling. It feels lovely going onto your skin. I personally am not a fan of the smell, but many others seem to be. It is a floral, perfumey scent that you can definitely smell throughout the day. That being said, I did not notice a difference in my under eye area after applying. I used it for multiple days in a row and was unable to see any change. I have quite dark under eye circles so i was hoping this would do something, but it did not.

Smells really good, and absorbs quickly. Purchased this on a sale day, and while the price was low, the quality is not!

I stumbled across this eye stick in a magazine article. Because it was cute, I decided to try it. What a pleasant surprise! I use it after washing up before bedtime. It smells divine! It also has an amazing cooling effect that isn't overpowering, but is just enough to give your tired eyes a lift without being greasy or weird. I feel like its doing something for puffiness, but I'm not sure yet about dark circles. Its small enough to toss in your bag and use throughout the day and cute enough to make you want to grab it whenever you see it. I can't wait to try this in the summer after being outside in the heat - something tells me it will feel pretty good. Its worth the price to give it a try. I totally recommend this!

I enjoy the product and do not regret buying it. It is very cooling and feels hydrating on the eyes, sinks into the skin well, and has a pleasant, understated aroma. I have not noticed a marked improvement in my skin, but that may be due to the limited amount of time I have been using it. However, I will not be rebuying, and do not recommend it for the following reasons: • The amount of packaging versus the amount of product is ridiculous. While the bear is cute, the package is almost 3 inches long, but the product is less than ½ inch long. The actual product is 7 grams, while the packaging (excluding product) is more than three times that mass. There’s no need for so much plastic to be used to package such a small amount of product. • The shape of the swivel stick is a bit wide for my deep-set eyes. If the product were narrower and longer (like a waxy tubed lip balm brand), it would be easier to apply, particularly under my eyes next to my nose. The current shape of the stick is too thick for me to actually slide the product on there. • I have not noticed a marked improvement in my skin, but that may be due to the limited amount of time I have been using it. • I can’t comment on how well it interacts with other skincare or makeup since I have only used it “solo.” • For the amount of product, the price seems a bit steep. While I know that eye creams tend to be very pricey, I can’t justify the cost on an ongoing basis for a cooling experience that smells good but doesn’t seem to improve the skin around my eyes.

Le côté rafraîchissant du contour des yeux, je confirme : dès l’application, on ressent immédiatement un effet frais très agréable, surtout le matin au réveil. Par contre, ayant déjà testé auparavant un autre stick contour des yeux type “panda” que j’aimais beaucoup mais que je ne retrouve plus, je dois reconnaître que celui-ci est un peu moins efficace selon moi. L’autre était vraiment très décongestionnant, alors que celui-ci apporte surtout un effet fraîcheur immédiat mais sans énorme effet visible sur la durée. Cela reste malgré tout un produit sympa qui fait son travail pour réveiller et rafraîchir le dessous de l’œil. J’ai aussi beaucoup aimé le packaging : il est compact, mignon et très joli visuellement. Petit bémol cependant sur le système d’ouverture : il faut dévisser puis reclipser le capuchon, et personnellement je trouve ça un peu moins pratique que les formats classiques qui se déclipsent directement. Mais dans l’ensemble, c’est un produit agréable à utiliser, avec un joli style et un effet frais immédiat très appréciable.

After a few days of using this, my skin around my eyes got very itchy

The product I received is used. No inside cover as I have seen in the reviews. Also the product is TINY. It litteraly fell out of the tube when I opened it. I want a refund. I will not use this product as it has obviously been opened and used.
