When Pencil Met Gel All-Day Eyeliner, Sharpenable, Blackest Black

These are hands-down the best eyeliners I have used in quite some time. I have tried super cheap, drugstore pencils, expensive name brands that cost $30-$40 for a pencil, and these are amazing. They are easy to sharpen, which I like, I like a very sharp point, and they go on easily, but they are not so soft that they don't apply precisely. They are the perfect mix of soft/hard. Very easy to glide on my eyelids, and you have around 5-8 seconds to smudge it or clean up smears, or I use my finger nail to swipe up the liner at the end of my lashes. After that time, the eyeliner stays put, it will not budge. It is amazing, it doesn't smear off, it doesn't bleed out under my eyes or on my eyelids (I have always gotten eyeliner on my eyelids by end of day. I must have oily eyelids, not gross, but very moisturized or something). This comes off easily with Micellar water and I wash with face wash. I purchased the dark brown (which is very dark brown, nearly black), the glittery brown (so pretty and not as harsh as the dark brown, the clay (pretty light, but still pretty) and the dark green (haven't worn yet but it's pretty). These are such a great deal and I expect them to last 6-8 months, depending on how much you use them. I know some people don't like to sharpen their eyeliners, but I do. It's the only way to get a precise point and create thin lines, in my opinion. Get a good sharpener. :)

This pencil glides on so smoothly and creates a line that is the perfect width. And, it is a lovely, soft green shade that is perfect for lining the bottom lid. It also stays put, which is a huge plus on "older eyes" like mine! :)

Very pigmented, easy to apply, no reaction to my sensitive eyes and skin. Great price point. Need a smudger or a little eye makeup remover if I screw up, obviously good staying power. Unfortunately, the first broke and when I was happy to buy a second one, that one broke even faster. Neither even halfway gone. I only use it once a week, max. Very sad, since it's been my favorite eyeliner that I don't have a reaction to in years.

This gets five stars (it won't allow me to select the second star for some reason). This is one of the longest lasting eye pencils I've ever used and I've tried them all! IT. Sephora. Lancome. Estee Lauder. You can't beat the price point. The only place I had to freshen up by the end of the day was the corners of my eyes. It makes a great liner for under my eyes and smokes out beautifully. I also used it to line my upper lids and it stayed all day without smudging or transferring. This makeup snob highly recommends the Julep eye pencil.

This pencil is the right thickness to make application easy. I didn’t have any issues. It’s a pretty shade of blue. I’m pleased with how it looks on me.

Liner goes on smooth without tugging skin and is easily blended however if you have oily skin it will start to melt and smear on your lids half way through the day. I’ve started using a base on my eye lids and it helps somewhat. Comes of easy with soap and water.

Very soft to apply and a flattering deep violet colour which brings out my mid-brown eye colour.

Like some other reviewers, I too have wrecked some gel eyeliners with a normal cosmetic pencil sharpener, which just do not work. This one however is brilliant; the eyeliner glued round smoothly with no split wood or jagged edges. I wish I'd found this item sooner as I've wasted money having to throw away gel eyeliners. To sharpen you simply unscrew one half and the savings are collected in the other half- simple!!

The shade terracotta matte is beautiful. It’s such an easy, natural looking eyeliner if you want a bit of definition, but nothing too harsh, as I have very pale skin, and even brown can look too intense for me sometimes. It’s a really great eyeliner for a day look. So easy to pop on, it’s really creamy, and doesn’t go on dry and skippy at all, so I’d say it’s just as good as any of the more expensive brands. You can blend it too before it sets. It stays put brilliantly, it lasts all day! And I have very oily eyelids. I also find it really easy to remove, just by washing my face. I have powered through the pencil quite quickly due to sharpening it, I would love this eyeliner in a retractable format. I haven’t found I’ve experienced any eye irritation at all with these. Brilliant eyeliner! So easy to use for a quick, no fuss, eye makeup look, so it’s very functional for someone like me that doesn’t want to fuss over makeup application for hours.
