Congrats NexGadget on a well-made product that performs as advertised!
I will be quick and to the point, while also adding a few insights for those interested in purchasing this product.First, I purchased this product. I was not given this product in exchange for a review. So, here goes:This camera is EXACTLY as advertised. It is cleanly and neatly packaged, with protective foam and thick cardboard to provide protection during shipping. It has a 1080p front-facing camera and (if you choose to set it up this way) an LED-illuminated park-assist rear-facing camera. (I chose NOT to set up the rear camera in the LED-illuminated park-assist way, but instead installed it so it is only live when the front camera is live: Simply DO NOT use the black and red wire pair and plug ONLY the gold terminal into the A/V input of the mirror. The black and red leads are for illuminating the LEDs and activating the back-up park assist, and are not required for the rear camera to operate.)PROS: *Clean, crisp images from both cameras (front is a better image, though) *EASY set-up (Adhesive-option rear cam and rubber strap over your car's existing rear view front unit) *Wires EASILY hidden behind trim, and PLENTY of length (11 foot cable for front, 18 foot wires for rear) to run the leads inconspicuously. *True Plug-and-Play set-up. *Screen is offset to the right allowing better rear mirror visibility while the screen is active. *3 hour looped recording with recommended (not included) 32Gb micro SD card. *One-touch "Record-Lock" to easily avoid recording over a wanted loop. *1, 2 and 5 minute settings for loops (while CONTINUALLY recording, your files will be either 1, 2 or 5 minutes long depending on your settings. Once your card is full, the files will be overwritten EXCEPT for those that you have locked.) *AUTOMATICALLY starts recording when you turn your car on (****If your 12V outlet is powered ONLY when your ignition is on**** otherwise you need to unplug this camera when you turn off your car or it will continually record) *Turn off display while still recording. *The "Workflow" diagram included in the instructions is extremely helpful in determining the functions and their associated buttons. (The diagram is small, so I took a pic with my phone so I could enlarge it.)CONS: *Rear view mirror is DARKER than your factory mirror (Takes some getting used to during daylight hours, but is actually a plus at night.) and has a slightly out-of-focus and stretched reflection due to its construction (that is required because of the inset screen.) *The front camera housing is SILVER, drawing attention to it through one's windshield) *While the NexGadget mirror is 11-3/4" wide at its widest point, the distance from the edge to the camera housing is 9-3/4;" meaning that your factory rear view mirror may not be completely covered. (My factory mirror is 10-1/2" wide, and is still visible on the right when this NexGadget mirror is installed.) *The instructions are a bit difficult to read due to the small font.OVERALL IMPRESSION:This NexGadget camera is an EXCELLENT value for its price point. You will get a quality product that performs EXACTLY as advertised. Even while there is a newer version available, I chose this model because of the value for the price. While there are a few "Cons," they do not change my 5 star rating, as the "Pros" far outweigh them in my opinion.Congrats NexGadget on a well-made product that performs as advertised!I hope you all find this review helpful!

Great combination of features and price
I have been looking to add a dash cam as well as a reverse camera to my Mustang for a while. I browsed several on Amazon for a year or so. I really wanted front and back cameras. There were couple models that did that, but reviews kept me from buying. I ran across this one a couple months ago and liked what I saw and read in the way of reviews. I received a notice on my app that it was a deal of the day with $10 off, so it had to be a sign.Problem #1: it is pretty high visibility to someone looking in your car. It comes with a cord that plugs into your cigarette lighter with a bonus USB slot available. It is tough to hide that cord as long as it is plugged in to a cigarette lighter.Solution: Take some time and buy the correct USB cable and hard-wire transformer. Use a fuse tap kit and don't be afraid to hide the cord. I actually connected my USB transformer to a phone line and plugged it into the accessory port on my Valentine radar detector module that I hard-wired as well. The dash cam comes on when the car is on now, and no need to mess with the cigarette lighter plug that screams "I have something to steal!"Problem #2: This is actually an extension of the first problem. The front camera is a silver color that stands out as the sun hits it in the windshield. Again, I hate drawing attention to anything worth stealing.Solution: Leave on the removable lens scratch protector long enough to tape off the actual mirror housing and spray a little flat black paint to hide the camera. I was so happy with the change. Then take off the lens protector...please.Problem #3: As mentioned in other posts, the rear camera produces an intermittent flicker. Not a deal breaker. It still takes good video out the back and still serves its function as a reverse camera.Solution: Don't display the screens when driving. I mean seriously, a few folks may want to see out the back all the time as the main screen, but if you want it for a few seconds, hit POWER to turn on the screen and use the UP and DOWN buttons to toggle between front, back, and front with PIP of the back. But for most driving, you don't need to see out the back with it and who needs to see out the front all the time with it? After all, I pray you are already looking that direction.I threw in a 16 GB card I had intended for my SLR camera. It records about half an hour's worth of 5 minutes videos (front and back) before recording over. A quick tap of the MENU button saves the videos currently recording in case you feel that you need to save your traffic stop or prove to your insurance company that the tree-shaped smash into your front end was indeed caused by hitting the last remaining sasquatch in the wild. There is no GPS function at this time, although it sounds like that may be coming in the future based on manufacturer's comments in the questions section of the item listing. If you had to prove your speed, timing between two telephone poles or trees as they leave the frame could actually work if you go back and measure their distance apart accurately. Before I hard-wired everything, including the back camera right over the rear license plate, I slid the mounting tab of that camera under an upper console and pointed it at my kids in the back seat. Being able to see whether it was the 5 year old or the 3 year old who started the disagreement was pretty valuable.Overall: I am glad I purchased this setup. It takes good video and does what it says pretty well. Once I hard-wired the wiring into the reverse light, I love having the backup camera pop on. One star was deducted for the rear camera flicker, but I don't look at the back picture unless I have it in reverse. Hard-wiring is fairly advanced, but don't be afraid to break up the projects. Hard-wire the power first, then run the wiring for the rear camera, then mount the rear camera. I think the extra work will pay off. I hope this helps!
