Awesome fountain/filter pump!
This fountain is working awesome so far! If anything changes, I will update you! But so far, I absolutely love it! It is keeping our mini pond cleaner than any other fountain or filter pump we have tried (which all of those failed miserably!). For being made of plastic, it's well constructed and the engineering looks sound too! Have not cleaned it yet, but it looks straight forward and very simple to accomplish.

Water is crystal clear now
I have only been using this pond filter pump for 3 days. I am very impressed so far. I previously had the Tetra All-in-One pond pump and filter with UV light for 500 G. My pond is the 500 G Rubbermaid stock tank. I have 4 goldfish and 3 algae eaters. A couple of weeks ago, I de-winterized my pond. The amount of muck on the bottom, sides, and free floating was horrible. I cleaned the pump of the Tetra. It did not help. I bought 2 different kinds of muck remover. None of this helped. I ordered the Anbull 1370 to replace the Tetra. After about 4 hours, I noticed a huge difference. After 24 hours, I could see the bottom of the pond the water was so clear. This is a really effective pond pump so far. It was a little pricier than I am used to paying so I really hope it lasts for several years. I did read other reviews where people said they had a hard time finding replacement filters. If that is the case, then I will just buy the course and smooth generic filter pads and cut them to fit. I plan on adding a water feature soon. I believe this pump will have enough power to run it.

Most impressive filter I've purchased
I have a 3,000 gallon pond with over 100 fish. Very prone to algae due to hot weather. So it is hard to find a good stand-alone submersible system that doesn't require a major upgrade to my pond. This filter does a beautiful job of keeping the water crystal clear. It is easy to clean, maintain, and handle. I have owned it for almost six months and I have nothing but good things to say abou it. I used to own the oval shaped brand and it was cumbersome, flimsy, and easy to break. This new one is sturdy and the UV light system is internal (not part of the fountain spicket). I have to clean it about one a week and that seems to be enough. Highly recommend it.

Works great until sponges lose shape
My pond was dirty and when I cleaned the filter 2 times a week it worked great. But when I went out of town for a week I came home and cleaned the filter. Both sponges where very dirty and sucked in towards the center of the filter. When I cleaned them they never regained their original shape and the filter is not keeping the pond clean anymore. I ordered new sponges because I have no other choice since I just bought the filter for this season. I replaced a Lifegard Aquatics All in One filter that I had for 5 years and it still works. I will still use it in the winter without the UV light. I have the same sponges I have always had with the Lifegard filter and they never lost their shape. The only reason I bought this filter is it was cheaper to buy than to replace the UV ballast, sleeve and bulb on my current filter. I believe this is a better filter if they had better quality sponges available. I really like how easy it is to clean. I think if I could get extra filter trays to use 3 sets of sponges it may work better.

Pump and sponges…big fail!
Pump quit after short time in pond. When working the sponges just gunked up, shrunk tightly together and even with very good cleaning never regained their shape. I live on a fixed income as a senior. I can’t just buy pumps…it’s a sacrifice.

Cleaned up a 2000 gallon pond
I have what started as a natural pond without filtration, just aeration. No koi, just goldfish, minnows, warmouth, snails, and bullfrogs. The pond cycled in clarity for the past year, and this past month it stayed a dirty brownish color. This filter pump cleaned it up within a week to a decent level of clarity, I am not going for crystal clear water, I just wanted to see the first and second levels and not have it look too dirty. The first level is about about 18 inches, the second level is 3-4 feet, and the bottom is 6ft. The pump sits on the second level with a hose used to make a natural-looking waterfall off one of the rocks. The fountain also worked well on the 18" level which I tried first before the hose came in. I cleaned out the filter after 2 days and I am going to clean it probably every week and see if that works. I throw the filters on concrete and blast them with a garden hose. I tied the handle of the pump to some paracord rope to pull it out of the pond, which works well as the pump is somewhat buoyant and pulls up easily. I keep the pump running right until I pull it out of the water and set it to the side, then immediately unplug it. This keeps some of the nastiness from escaping as I pull it out of the water.
