Osram SYLVANIA 7440 Long Life Miniature Bulb (Contains 2 Bulbs)

Installed this bulb in my 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander SE back up light. It fits, works as expected, and was super easy to install - about 2 mins with bulb grease. Can't attest to how long it lasts as I just installed it today but I've used this brand of bulbs before and with previous vehicles and have had no memorable issues with their quality.

I had to purchase one bub to replace the brake light on my 2010 Subaru Outback. At the time I thought it was silly to have to purchase two, but then of course the other brake light went out within a month. So, it's worth it to buy the 2-pack! Super easy to replace yourself, and these bulbs match perfecly with the original ones that were on the vehicle.

I've always put SilverStar's in my cars. Even my old beater truck. They're a noticeable improvement in color and brightness over OEM bulbs. They cost a bit more but well worth it when driving on unlit roads at night. The only step up would be a full HID retrofit, but they only work best when fitted to a headlight assembly with a projector lens and a proper high-angle cut-off so as to not blind oncoming drivers. Unfortunately my new car doesn't have them (My old one did). Purchased these to replace a pair that burned out prematurely in my 2012 Subaru Impreza. I had purchased the other pair only a few months ago. I'm hoping these last longer than the previous ones. Otherwise I'll be either taking my car to the dealership or contacting Sylvania.
