Wallaby 15 Mil Thick Mylar Bags with Oxygen Absorbers, Zipper Seal, Gusset

I just started my journey of emergency preparedness and I couldn't be more impressed with the Wallaby mylar bags. These bags are absolutely top-notch for storing dry goods for long term storage. The quality of the material is outstanding - strong, thick and durable. The design of the bag makes it easy to stand up, so filling up the bag is a breeze. The zip lock seal works great and after heat sealing the bags with a hair straightener, I have had no issues with any bags leaking or opening unintentionally. Also like the mention, it's a great bonus that it comes with oxygen absorbers to keep stuff fresh and the stick on labels are great for keeping stuff organized. Overall, these bags offer excellent value for the price. They're easy to use, reliable, and perfect for anyone looking to keep food fresh especially for the long term. Highly recommend! 5 stars!

These are thick and good bags! I love that they stand up while you fill them. Sealed great with a hair straightener. Glad i chose these over the cheaper bags.

Great product for long term storage

These were the solution I needed to store the bulk grain I like to buy. They are large and held a good amount of grain. They seal easily with an iron, just don't be dumb like me and not pay attention to the tear open slits. I think I got too excited when ironing them closed and ironed too deeply so I will have to cut them when I open in the future. Definitely user error. Anyway, I bought these because the price was reasonable and the brand seemed legit enough.

These are put together very well. They seal well. The labels are easily written on and stick well to the bags. The dri-locks need extra thought, as they don't keep well outside of sealed containers. I have not used these long term but over the summer, they kept the flour and sugar dry and fresh.

I initially ordered cheaper Mylar bags with O2 absorbers, but they were delayed, which turned out to be a blessing as this was my first time packaging food for long term storage and I wouldn’t have seen the difference in quality. So while waiting, I ordered Wallaby’s based on reviews and was able to package 10 or so food packages before the cheaper set finally arrived. The cheaper set of bags were advertised as 15 mil thickness, yet were noticeable thinner than the 7.5 mil Wallaby’s, and a 1 gallon cheap bag weighed roughly 1/2 of what the same size Wallaby’s bag weighed on my scale. I then packaged about 10 bags of the cheaper set to try them out. In a couple of days, the Wallaby’s bags/oxygen absorbers had sucked their bags tightly against the contents, whereas the cheaper set didn’t appear to absorb anything. I’ll need to repackage those with decent O2 absorbers or risk finding my food spoiled when I need it 15 or 20 yrs from now. Lesson learned, buy the Wallaby’s from now on.

Truth up front. i had this conversation with my wife and she bought them anyway. Whatever makes mama happy! I'm sure they work fine but here is the important part. Mylar bags have great oxygen barrier properties but for them to work an oxygen scavenger (the little pouch with an oxygen gobbler in it) is critical to take advantage of the pouch's oxygen barrier. Sealing the scavenger in the pouch with the product immediately after taking the scavenger from it's package is super important. If you are planning to store food for a very long time (more than the use by on the package it came in), a heat sealed mylar pouch with scavenger might make sense. Within posted shelf life under normal storage conditions, it is quite expensive and involves a fair amount of work for very little return on quality of the food. But back to my first paragraph. if it makes you happy go for it.

Die Tüten machen einen extrem stabilen Eindruck und kommen einem sehr hochwertig vor. Sie sind perfekt für die langfristige Einlagerung von Lebensmitteln. Für das Verschließen mit den Sauerstoffabsorbern ist ein entsprechendes Versiegelungsgerät (Hitze/ Impulsversieglung) notwendig. Die Sauerstoffabsorber funktionieren super. Die Tüten ziehen sich entsprechend zusammen. Der Preis in für Deutschland ist relativ hoch - dennoch eine Kaufempfehlung.

Son bolsas bastante fuertes y resistentes. Use una de prueba y el resellable evita que salga aire por completo, además son bastante resistentes cuando intente usar el abrefacil. No se rompen sencillamente. El unico contra es que el dobles hasta abajo se puede perforar si usas la mano para intentar abrirlo, mi solución fue llenar la bolsa con su contenido respectivo (en este caso arroz para las primeras 5) y agitarla para que el arroz abriera el dobles parejo. Muy buena compra y a muy buen precio (las compre en 580 aproximadamente)

First time using this product and I was very happy with this purchase. The bags are sturdy and easy to fill. They come with oxygen pouches also which helps to keep your dry foods fresh. I definitely recommend this product.
