This is a fantastic scanner! Purchased to scan my Mom's taxes and receipts. Fully expected something to get completely bungled inside the scanner at some point (was scanning about 1 1/2" inches of papers) but to my complete amazement, there was not one jam through the entire process! Plus it scans a lot of pages at one time (I think the most I tried at one time was 20 or 30) but it didn't seem to be struggling and could probably handle more. It automatically adjusted for the small paper receipts when I put them into the scanner. And the software is very intuitive and allows you to easily name the files and save them on the computer. Plus the machine is small and either left on desktop or stored away. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I can’t tell you how happy I am with this ScanSnap! Our office is trying to go more paperless, and I have a daily pile of receipts, invoices, shipping documents, and all kinds of random papers to scan. Some are double-sided, some are tiny like a gas receipt, some are regular 8.5"x11", and some are those ridiculously long Lowe’s receipts.Before this, I was so over dealing with my printer’s top feeder constantly jamming or waiting forever for the flatbed scanner to scan one page at a time. It made the whole process feel never-ending. After doing some research, this scanner seemed like the best choice—and wow, it totally delivered!I can drop a stack of papers in, and it scans them all instantly with zero jams. Every. Single. Time. The image quality is next-level! Seriously, y’all, don’t sleep on this scanner—it’s a game changer.Now, full disclosure: it took me about a week to really get the settings down, like making sure each receipt saves as its own file or grouping a few pages together in a big stack. Also, switching between single-sided and double-sided scanning took a minute to get used to. But once you figure it out, it’s a breeze!Oh, and for tiny receipts, I’ve found it’s easiest to feed them through the bottom front feeder just to be safe. Other than that, I couldn’t be happier—this scanner has made my life so much easier. And the best part? It’s so fast that people literally stop and watch it in action!

Easy to set up, easier to install the drivers. Works perfectly for my needs. I use it to copy all my bills and important documents to my computer and the cloud. For most documents I shred to document after scanning, but honestly I am keeping hard copies of my tax documents and other legal items. But I now have space in my file cabinet.

Someone already said this scanner is amazing. And that's exactly what I wanted to say. It's fast, it's flexible, it's totally intuitive, you can be anti-mechanical and anti-computer and still easily use it. Top notch product!!

I bought the first one in 2022.. After almost two years, in March 2024, it broke down. I quickly ordered a new one. The qualities of the second device, especially the software, were very disappointing. I bought my first Scansnap because of the quick succession of scanning documents. That is "no longer" due to the "automatic" scan function that apparently cannot be switched off. You now have to press OK after scanning each individual document, sometimes this can be done quickly via an Enter, but sometimes it only works via the mouse. With those unnecessary actions, the speed is gone. Another disadvantage is that if you want to scan receipts, the device chooses to scan only 1 side. This even goes so far that if a receipt is in the scanner the wrong way around, a white document is delivered. But beware, that's not all: if you have made an [important] note on the back of a receipt, it will NOT be scanned - because it is a receipt. Yes, that means that you now have to check your equipment, the scanner and your laptop, on the work done to see if they have done their job together properly. Terrible. In my view, the computer checks me, my job is not to check the computer and the peripherals. Thanks Scansnap for the lost notes.But now it is the end of October 2024 and now the "new" device is showing the necessary quirks again. The device thinks that there is already a document in the manual feed, while that is not the case. After this thought, the device does nothing more. This one can also go on the waste mountain.But this is half a year after I bought this new one. I think that is going too far.In summary: this used to be a nice scanner but it is nothing anymore, well, it is a device with a lot of quirks and it eats up my time and attention.

I used to work in a law firm that had ScanSnap scanners, so when I wanted one for home use, it was an easy choice. This one does everything I need it to do, whether scanning receipts, business cards, photos or two-sided documents. Naming and saving documents is easy. I am able to keep all of my documents on my computer, which is backed up to the cloud, and therefore they are all accessible from anywhere. An added benefit is that it takes up so little space on my desk. I am very pleased with this scanner.

OMG, This thing is AWESOME! Easy to connect and set up. The software is intimidating at first, but that's only because they have given you every option in the world for what to do with each scan. Bottom line, once you spend a few minutes getting to know the software, it's easy as pie to rename your scan and direct it to your destination file folder. And it is SO FAST. Just a couple of seconds from start to finish for one-page jobs. I had been taking 20 seconds per page to scan stuff on my printer's flatbed scanner. No more! I should have bought this years ago!
