I like this iron. We have had about 4 steam generator types over the years and this is the quietest and most efficient. It copes well with linen and denim. It is compact and doesn’t take up much space. The refill is easy with no water container to extract from the machine just a little pull out spout and you can pour straight into the tank. It’s worth mentioning that according to the instructions the iron runs best on 50% tapwater and 50% deionised water. If you live in a hard water area like us, it recommends you use 100% deionised water. The water is widely available in supermarkets but it does add an additional cost. However, it does mean the iron will live longer. Our others have ‘died’ due to hard water and deionised water was not recommended for them. Overall excellent value and I would recommend.

This iron is fantastic, I've had a LOT of steam generators over the years but the steam power of this one is incredible, creases literally melt away with little effort. I love that there is no temperature control because my teenagers and 'useless at ironing' husband can relax knowing they won't burn anything. It feels very high quality, is easy to fill and is actually quite light and compact. The cord storage and lock work brilliantly. Only tiny issue is that the power button is right where you hold when ironing and it occasionally switches off when you are ironing due to pressure put on it but you honestly notice right away and just press it back on. I've long coveted a polti and I'm not disappointed. It was a great deal so I'm really happy with the value for money.

Great iron but we have had to return it because of a bad design fault, the water fill flap let's out the water when your ironing.

This is an excellent iron unfortunately let down by a simple mechanical issue - It falls off the stand very easily. The base has a recess that the iron base lip (see photo 1) falls into under gravity, but in my opinion this is not deep enough to hold the iron firmly in place, well anyway the iron has fallen off when unattended two times (and nearly injured our cat). The manufacturer has included a sliding clip at the tip of the iron which locks the iron onto the base. This solves the problem of it falling off but it is inconvenient having to use this every time and furthermore it is very close to the hot tip and easy to burn yourself with steam. This simple issue spoils what is an excellent iron in all other aspects. It heats-up very quickly, it is automatic with no temperature settings and it measures the amount of steam very well making it a very smooth and effective iron. I really suggest the manufacturer should make some small changes to the base to resolve my issue.

Lightweight to handle, very powerful steam function, snorts like a noisy dragon but you are warned of the working noises by the manufacturer. Clear, step by step instructions but images referred to are on a different page. Take 10 minutes to read and familiarise yourself before starting. I am familiar with the Polti brand and this replaces my failed Philips which was repairable but not economic to do so. It was delivered within 24 hours but I received an item which was shopsoiled. Amazon immediately arranged collection and delivery of new item. I have tested it on different fabrics including a very creased, overdried cotton poplin formal shirt and significantly creased trousers. The automatic temperature control was perfect, the iron glided over fabric with ease, and steam was effective on both. I vertically steamed an evening dress that had sequins and there were no wrinkles and creases from storage fell away. I found the iron easy to use despite having quite arthritic hands and appreciated the efficiency which reduced ironing times. There are two settings for the steam power. I bought this appliance for £99 on limited time offer, a substantial saving. Fingers crossed that it continues to work as it has begun, and lives up to my expectations and experience of Polti.

I treated myself to this iron and found the steam function quite good but I've only had it since late July 2025 and the steam function has stopped working already mid September 2025. I don't iron that much unless it's needed so can't say I have had great use of the iron. I am looking for troubleshooting and can't get it working. I also bought the anti scale treatment that's recommended by the company. Hopefully sending back and getting a replacement :( I have since contacted Politi and I was told not to use the anti scale treatment for this iron although it's listed on Amazon as bought together and that the distilled water of comfort ironing water is not suitable either!! They have replaced the iron without any Fuss and recommended that I read the manual again. Which I most definitely will however I'm wondering what the cost will be to continue to purchase demineralised water with tap water depending on hardness of your water supply!

This Steam Iron is a game changer makes the whole experience of ironing perfect and easy. Power it on and takes about one minute to power up but then it's ready to go - powerful steam and heat perfect to get things done quickly and it adjusts to the fabric you are ironing. Although I only Iron things as I go normally just love how easy this is to use. irt deserves good reviews I rarely normally leave them. I bought whilst on offer @ £109 so thinking I got a very good deal. Would Recommend.
