Works great!
Only bought this because my herbalist told me to get it. It is really good for breaking down those extra fats to keep your system from bloating and taking the nutrients that your body needs the most.

Help eating saucy foods.
Helps me digest fat foods like fries, donuts, or rich dishes, etc. Pancreas may not handle such nutrient for some people. However, this supplement helps me eat a little more items necessary for a frame seriously underweight!! I wouldn't try it just to be a glutton but for digestive issues it has proven helpful. Not overdoing consumption because everything has a down side and it isn't necessary to push beyond doctor's advice and the label recommendations. I like it for twice a week on average. Having them makes dining out much easier as one can't be sure what is in someone else's recipe. If choosing sauced foods this Lipase helps digestion. Consult with your doctor. These enzyme capsules are small and easy easy to swallow. Probably gelatin.

Good pills but this carries a warning...
This is an update to my rave review that started "So Far, so good". The whole review is below but it hasn't been published yet, so I'm jumping in with an update. (Frowny face here...)There is probably nothing wrong with these pills but this is just a warning: After taking the pills for two days, I started having a lot of problems. To put it delicately, I was spending a lot of time in the Ladies Room - if you get my drift.I was crushed. Without dragging you the whole process, I Googled Lipase and eventually ran into an article about the side effects of Lipase pills. Diarrhea.Yes, sports fans, the pill that was going to rescue me from the diarrhea caused by eating butter or anything with oil, was giving me diarrhea. So I can't take the pills - at least in any significant amount,So the pills are still a good idea but I'm just warning you that they might backfire on you, if you have a digestive system made out of tissue paper, like mine. So go slowly at first and stay alert to any "explosions"... FYI, below is the original review:Seems to work fine! I'm 81 and lately it seems, my system has just worn down to being almost non-functional. I can't seem to digest anything anymore; I was starting to panic. However, today is only the 2nd day and so far they're working!!!Because of my gluten intolerance, I've started baking my own cookies and bread. The last batch of cookies called for 1 stick of butter, which was strong enough to wake me up at 3 am with bile reflux. Yesterday I tested it by taking 2 pills and had 3 cookies and salmon for dinner. Slept all night - no reaction at all.The pills are tiny, so easy to swallow. I'm new to this & it seems you take these on an "as-needed" basis, not to automatically take them every day no matter what, so the 90 pills should last a longish time. Before I ordered these, it was getting to the point where I couldn't digest anything containing even a small amount of butter - which is in almost all recipes, no matter what you're cooking and no matter what food you buy. These are a lifesaver -if they "crash" on me, I'll update this, but for now - I'm in heaven!

Seems to do a very good job in place of Creon
Seems to do a good job in place of Creon. Still testing it when I can safely do it without chancing a problem. Update 5/23/17, I have used it enough now to give a definite review. It works great. 5 stars. I have a pancreas issue and don't produce enough enzymes to break down fat which many of you know causes all sorts of very uncomfortable stomach problems. This has been going on for over 35 years and I couldn't take it any more so I went through all of the tests, many of which were not available 35 years ago and was put on Creon, ($700/month without insurance) which solved my problem. Luckily I have insurance, for now. Needless to say, I was very skeptical of anything else. I was very surprised that this seems to work as well. I am very happy with this product and would highly recommend this for anyone who has similar issues as I do. FYI, Creon has two other products included, Amylase and Protease, which help digestion of starches and proteins so depending on your issue, you many need them also. The only thing I found other than Creon would require me to take 8-10 pills per meal so I gave this a try. My problem is fat digestion only, yours may also. Hopefully this helps someone avoid the years of pain that I have had.

Glad I found this lipase company
Why was I taking Creon and then Zenpep when all I need is Lipase?! Constant stomach ache on those prescriptions but now🙌!!! Type 1 diabetic here of 51 years and my pancreas now decides it won’t make lipase. Years of constipation and stomach pain. I hope big pharma doesn’t take our ability to purchase this life changing medicine.

Annoyingly Effective
Like many people who found their way here, I had my gallbladder removed and it completely changed the way my system processed fatty foods.I've been taking this with (almost) every meal for ~4 weeks and I cannot go without it. I expected a dramatic effect but didn't feel it was working spectacularly until I forgot to take it with me to a restaurant 2 weeks ago and found myself sprinting through the park after lunch in desperate search for a port-a-potty. It was horrendous. The instructions are to take it with the first bite of food. Yesterday I forgot to take it until after I finished my meal and thought it would be fine. It was not fine, y'all. It was entirely ineffective, and just like the previous time I forgot to take them, my insides REBELLED.I'm annoyed my digestive system is now reliant on this supplement to do its thing, but I'm grateful to have found it.
