This is the fourth style of fountain I have tried for my very particular sweetheart. She is the nicest cat but the conditions she finds optimal for drinking water are so specific it’s almost impossible. A person must accompany her to a bathroom, preferably the one with a bathtub. Sometimes a sink will do. Said person must trickle enough water into the tub to create a puddle she will then drink out of. Sometimes she will decide that the trickling stream of water is better than the puddle. If you happen to be at a sink she may approach you. She wants you to fill a shallow bowl to the brim and set it on the counter. You must leave the faucet trickling, and stand quietly observing her while she drinks. Very occasionally she will try drinking directly from the faucet, not very successfully. We leave filled bowls next to a few sinks in the house but she rarely if ever drinks from them alone because it isn’t freshly refilled. I love her dearly but this is slightly annoying because I worry she isn’t drinking enough, and we can’t be on 24/7 water duty. I need to leave my house! Years ago, with other cats, I had a stainless water fountain and it was very noisy, it wasn’t used, so I gave it away. After her rescue and adoption 3 years ago, we discovered her water issues so I researched and bought the Catit green flower fountain. I had it running for probably four months. She drank from it maybe twice, so I gave it away. Recently I decided to tackle this behavior again so I spent a lot of time trying to find a fountain that provided the most similar experience to the bathtub. I tried the UAH wireless rechargeable fountain, which I really liked. Both of my cats drank out of it several times, but they didn’t adopt it as a regular water source after a month. I decided to try to find a fountain that had both the flat puddle and faucet components of the bathtub and found this one. I assembled it last night, very easy. I liked the option to purchase a dedicated plug for the usb cable. I set it up on the bathroom counter that she frequently uses for her water experience, and I set her on the counter once so she could see there was something different there. She didn’t seem to be curious at all, she just jumped down. It is the quietest fountain of all the versions I have had, virtually silent. The water stream is not hard or splashy, but appropriately gentle for a cat to drink directly from. This morning I expected to have to do her regular faucet routine but imagine my surprise and delight to discover her in the bathroom, alone, on the counter and drinking from this fountain!!! She was drinking from the basin of the fountain, not the faucet. That tracks, because generally she likes the water on while she drinks from a bowl next to the stream. The entire family is shocked, amazed, and thrilled. If you’ve got a cat that is really into bathtub drinking, faucets, or running water, try this fountain, it may be just what you’ve been looking for. It’s basically a dedicated cat sink that runs continuously, which is ridiculous but apparently what my cat really wanted all along! Update 9/19/23: Unfortunately my cat gave up on this fountain shortly after I wrote this review. I kept trying to clean it and change the filter, but I came to the conclusion she just didn’t like drinking recirculated water mixed with cat saliva. I did some research and found the Aqua Purr water fountain dispenser that is motion activated and hooks up the a sink faucet. She loves it.

Some noise from water running, but filter is silent, excellent quality and large water capacity to keep my multi cat household happy and healthy. Cats love it and have increased their water intake while improving water quality. Sleek design, easy to clean and maintain, and fits perfectly in any room

Our cats were always in the sink waiting to get a drink from the faucet so we decided to get one of these. Our cats took to it pretty quickly ( I did spray a little cat nip on it). It is pretty easy to clean. It’s a pretty good for price but like a few others have said it would be nice to be able to see if the water is low. I just pretty much check it every couple days and with it being summer change the water; but it does hold a good amount of water . But I’m happy we have it because all 4 of our cats are drinking water fresh more. I feel it’s really quiet. So far no complaints with the pump.

Great water cat water fountain. The pump works great. Ive had it low many times where the pump wasnt pumping water after I got home from work but the pump still worked fine after filling it back up, no issues. Wish they had a way to see the level inside it. Other than that its been a great water fountain, its silent no noise after initial start up it'll make a noise but it goes away, thats typical for all water pumps as you start them up. My cats love the fountain. I have to fill it every 3-4 days, so my cats are getting plenty of water, that is for sure.

I have gone overboard in the past buying everything for my dog, including many water bowls and fontains. Others had problems eventually, mostly with an inability to keep them clean. Others would build up something nasty in some corner, edge, or part of the mechanism. Or even simply the surface material itself wouldn’t stay free of sticky film or mold. That experience includes some very premium expensive models made of ceramic, glass, polycarbonate, and stainless steel. I’ve tried them all, including some that were over $150, because they had the top ratings. Somehow, this water fountain turned out to be perfect. The stainless steel is high quality. Those of us with experience know there are many different types, classes, and categories of stainless steel. This figuration is made from high quality materials. I’ve had this for a year and it has been running non stop 24/7 without a single fault or blemish. All the parts still look brand new, there is not a single rust spot or stain or any discoloration on any part inside or out. This means is not oxidating or reacting to anything, despite being on the floor, wet, and constantly exposed to dog spit and food particles for an entire year. Even the pump is high quality. I had one of the expensive ones I bought a few years ago and the motor died after a few months. This one has been running non stop for a year and I’ve even neglected to keep it full all the time. I have many times walked past it and noticed that is running dry. I then just add water on top until it starts to pump again. this has happened at least 20 times. The pump has run dry for hours and didn’t burn out. It of still going. The entire fountain is also generally easy to clean. It doesn’t have a thousand parts with crevices. I just put the whole thing in my kitchen sink and wash it like any normal dishware. I do also use a small bottle brush for the spigot. I have never seen any residue come out. But since I really like this fountain and would like to keep it in good shape, I give it a good cleaning with brushes and regular dish soap. I wash it once a week mostly. I have sometimes mixed a week and then washed it after two weeks. It has been fine. I once left it for three weeks, only adding water every couple of days, and the water does get slimy. But the fountain is still perfect after a good cleaning. Like I already said, I tried many fountains in the past, even very expensive highly rated ones. I gave up on that concept and donated the ones I had. After a couple of years of just regular bowls, I decided to try again. I’m glad I picked this one. It has exceeded my expectations. I just wanted one that was quiet and didn’t get moldy. This one is completely silent. Even in a quiet room just reading you can’t hear it. The only noise it makes is if the water level if too low then you can hear the dripping a little bit. But I’m super sensitive to noise. I get aggravated with any noise at all. This fountain is absolutely silent unless the water is low. That’s actually good for me because it tells me when I need to add water. I bet there are people who actually probably think the sound of the water dripping is pleasant. It possibly sounds like one of those white noise machines. It isn’t the motor making any noise. It is just like a water fountain dripping. Fortunately or unfortunately for me, that kind of noise drives me nuts. So again, even this characteristic of the fountain has worked out well for me. I highly recommend this fountain. I’m still surprised that it is priced so low. I’ve bought simple stainless steel items for my kitchen that cost more than this entire device. I also feel good about the whole system using standard size parts. The pump and filters are all standard sized parts produced by many manufacturers. You can buy the filters in big packs from many places. If someday eventually the pump burns out, I know I can easily replace it.

I’ve had this fountain since July of 2023 and it’s excellent. 5 stars for overall performance: our cats love it, the stainless steel holds up very well and is easy to clean. The pump design gets five stars for durability - I only just now had to replace it after nearly 3 years. For a little chunk of plastic that’s running 24/7, seems quite reasonable and the replacement was easy to find for just $9.99. One gripe, the pump does have some small crevices that can be annoying to clean thoroughly, but have the right light brush tool handy and it’s far better than most others.

I do love this fountain and I think it’s a wonderful price point! Would I buy again yes if : 1. was in a hurry and didn’t want to research fountains again. 2. Price point was an issue. It is very quiet, filters are super easy to replace, the filter housing actually keeps loose bits of carbon from falling into the actual bowl, assembly is easy, pump looks and feels better than what I was using. The sponge around the filter cleans easy, the steel look fits with any deco, and replacement items are easily found on Amazon. Now what would make me order a different more expensive one? If you clean clean, Like hospital clean this fountain will take some time. I’ll explain. I would have opted for surgical stainless steel rather than 304. 304 is consumption safe, but surgical has less corrosion for the way I clean. I have a cat that needs extreme cleaning so I pretty much autoclave things/steam clean everything. The plastic while durable will not stand up to this type of heat so I must hand clean them. No big deal just time consuming. The design of this fountain leaves a lot of “nooks” for biofilms to start. I’ve included pics of these little nooks. So you have to take every little part off to steam clean. Not a big deal like I said just time consuming cause there are a ton of spaces to clean. Buy yourself a nice flexible set of brushes to clean this with! The one provided is useless. It will not get into the bend of the fountain water hook. Last, next time I will look for a fountain with less plastic parts and more stainless steel. While more expensive it’s just easier to clean with high heat. While ss pumps are hard to find it’s not impossible, but for under 100$ I knew what I was getting. So yes this fountain is worth the purchase, but if you have a special needs kitty or like super clean, this fountain will take some time to clean.

My kitty never drank from the faucet & liked this model immediately. So if you think drinking from the faucet is a prerequisite to the success of this type of fountain, don't worry. There are two models: I got a few of this smaller model because the price was momentarily reduced (pre-Christmas offerings) & my filters for other fountains fit this model, too. It's round which means kitty can easily approach the fountain at any angle. My kitty prefers this smaller model over the larger one--when put side by side. I discovered this the other day as soon as I put up the new fountain. This one has a simple spout & pours water a bit further (but centered) than the larger model! The components are simple, stainless steel, & I am already familiar with the simple filters & tray. I have filters that fit, I like the small & less plastic filter tray. I like & prefer the round design which allows the kitty to have all inviting angles & my kitty seems to be fascinated with the different water fountains I am buying for her. The suction cups of the pump do not adhere to the bottom of either models. The suction cups do not adhere to the bottom even if you press down on the cover once all is in place. But it functions great. My kitty is not intent to overthrow the cover. I have no complaints except it didn't come with a brush designed to clean out the neck which I will have to purchase on my own--pipe cleaners do quite well--I bend the pipe cleaner at the top so it doesn't scratch & pull it thru & clean that way. My kitty really prefers this smaller model! Strange annoying imperfection on all models: I notice all the models have a minor indentation alongside where the cut out is for the water spout. All of them have this minor defect & it must come from the manufacturing. It is mostly not noticeable unless you check carefully & are a perfectionist. I noticed. The pump is exactly the same as I have in other manufacturer models & all work OK so far, & I have been using them for over a year. You might not have the same experience--but cleaning them properly is the key to having them last longer. Go into the area which you cannot open with the small brush, put the pump in soapy dish water, vinegar & baking soda & scrub all parts. These pumps have not been giving me any problems so far. Clean all parts of the pump. Rinse thoroughly under the faucet in the sink. All should work out great. It is totally your responsibility to maintain the fountain & pump & keep everything clean & hygienic for your kitty or dog.

The fountain itself is really amazing, but unlike the ad, it comes without the 3 replacement filters. When contacting the merchant, they promised to send the filters but it's been over a month and nothing was sent.

My cat took to this fountain very quickly. He says it's a purrriffic gift for a cat. It's very easy to use. Just fill it up to the minium line and place the top on. Plug it in and the water starts coming out immediately. It's extremely quiet and I can't hear it running. I like that it is stainless steel to keep it easy to clean. It's a nice size so I only need to fill it every other day and I give it a rinse out. The tap design is nice to give it that appearance like a sink tap that my cat oh so LOVES to drink from! But, lucky for Mr. PICKLES he now has his own running tap 24/7! It's a very nice product and I look forward to watching my cat enjoy it for years to come.

good fountain, kitty is using it, she loves it. very easy to clean, don't forget to replace filters on time. you plug it in the wall using given usb-end wire. fountain makes very slight water-running noise, which could be soothing, actually. if water is out, it stops running, then I can see that it needs fresh water refill. it has a good size - 3,2 L, enough for more than a week. I don't wait until it completely runs out of water, I refill it every 5-7 ds, in average. I'm satisfied with my purchase. sooo much easier compared to what I had previously - just a simple bowl, which I had to refill daily. fountain could be cheaper, though, would be nice. my friend's cat didn't like hers, so keep that in mind. I guess, if the cat is still a baby, like mine was, then you can train it for this fountain, like I did, when I just took away the bowl & replaced with this fountain, but my friend's cat was an adult one, & refused to use the fountain. think about it before you spend your money for this fountain.
