iTrunk Frame Mount Compatible for GoPro Hero 7 Black (2018) / 6/5, Protective Housing Case with Quick Release Buckle Accessories Compatible for GoPro Hero7 Hero (2018) 6 5 Black Action Camera

My GoPro fits great in it. However there are a few minor issues.The mounting feet that the fastening screw goes through are too wide to fit other GoPro accessories. You will have to file them down to get them to fit. Also the microphone holes get blocked by the case. The original GoPro case had holes for the Microphones. I will use a small drill bit to make these holes myself for better audio quality. Lastly the red LEDs that tell you when the camera is on and recording get covered up by the case. These are just a few things that I noted and may not affect you. I am happy to make these changes myself rather than spend three times as much on the original GoPro case.

While this frame addresses the issue of having to remove the camera just to attach data/charge cable, it also seems very rugged and I am confident that it hold up to day to day usage I can't in good conscience give it more that a three star (It's OK) rating for the following reasons:1. The mounting ears on the bottom of the frame fit the included quick release buckle they do not fit any Go Pro accessories without being sanded/filed down as they are too thick.2. All three internal microphones on the Go Pro Hero 5 are blocked/covered up by this frame causing muffled audio recording.3. All three red status lights are also blocked by this frame.For the price instead of returning it I trimmed and drilled the frame to unblock the microphones and status lights, and filed/sanded the attachment ears so they fit Go Pro mounts and accessories.Edit 07/13/2018: I was asked to review their new version of this mount and I am Happy to report they have addressed all three issues:1 The mounting ears now fit all Go-Pro accessories.2 They have addressed the issue of covering up the internal microphones.3. While not perfect the red status lights are able to be seen now.I am increasing my rating from 3 Stars to five. You can't ask for a better mount, I am impressed with the fact that the Company pays attention to their customers and make the effort to not only improve their product, but go the extra mile to make sure their customers are happy. Can't ask for more.

No leaks, No issues, No worries. Only used it one summer so far and quite a bit!! Happy with price also!!

This is a great case. The material feels the same as the Hero7 itself. There are old reviews saying the mic holes are covered, they are not. I kind of wished they were as there is no option on the GoPro to shut off audio recording. But I digress. This is a great frame and it feels like OEM, except the opening on the USB/HDMI side is bigger so that is accessible without taking the frame off. Great price too. Wish it came in different colors.

As a daily vlogger using a GoPro Hero 5....I don't understand why GoPro did not design a case like this! This case allows fully access to the side door so that it can be removed without having to take the camera out of the mount. That feature alone changed my efficiency while using the camera. This case feels great (is a bit bulky compared the to GoPro frame) and has a great latch on it. Fits the GoPro snuggly and works better than the GoPro brand frame. Absolutely love it.

This case looks and feels better than the OEM (Stock) Model that shipped with the Go Pro. The silcone/mat feel it has is reminiscent of the Xbox One's media remote. Its easy on the hands, but not slippery. Additionally, the snapping cage feature, is way better. It's pretty difficult to open the original model - i often have to use a coin or something else to pop the case open. This one is easy on the finger tips and hassle free when removing the Go Pro from the case.

Works as exactly as expected I think it's higher quality than GoPro on frame. It tends to be thicker and fits the GoPro hero5 perfectly. A very robust product

fitment is good ,I have not had a real outdoor field test yet , I don't see that there should be any problems. I would like to see possibly a little heavier latch . I really like that they provide a different tightening knob that is easier to use than the original go pro version

This little b*stard may have been my greatest ever Amazon purchase! I took my GoPro on a stag do last weekend in Newquay. Not only did this casing survive the usual wear and tear that generally comes with any stag do, but I survived the open for 6 hours! I dropped my sodding GoPro whilst we werr out surfing and thought that it was gone for good. 6 hours later we searched the beach and actually found the little beauty in a rockpool! This casing had survived several hours of being battered against rocks by the sea! Very well made. Bravo! (We even took the photo after to prove how protected it was! Look how happy we look)

This is such a well designed product. “It’s just a frame!” I hear you cry. Well, yes it is, but ...1. The original is very plasticky. This is plastic, but with a slightly ‘soft’ surface that makes it look and feel like a premium product. The overall finish is far better.2. The clip on the original is flipping tight and a risk to nails and small animals. The clip on the iTrunk is reassuring and ‘clicks’ into place, but not with such a vice like ‘snap’ that would kill a mouse.3. The original is so tight that it can abrade the rubber surface of the GoPro unless you are very (very) careful when inserting/extracting your camera. The design of the iTrunk frame means the GoPro slides in like a cabinet maker’s drawer.4. The, frankly, unbelievable omission of access to the USB and Type C connections on the original (unless you remove the side door, which makes it look as though you’ve broken/lost it) is changed at a stroke through a nattily designed cut out, which allows easy access all day long without extracting camera from frame.4. Unlike another OP, I have had no issues with mount brackets, either from the OEM or other purveyors of such items.So, there is nothing not to like here. For just over a fiver this has to be one of the best priced GoPro accessories that will upgun your device through allowing greater utility. You’ll also cut even more of a dash on the slopes or wherever you take your action camera. People will pass admiring glances and ask if you want a beer. Maybe.

I have only just got this case but upon opening it I instantly loved the feel of it and then opening the clasp is so very much easier than the original gopro case (i am disabled and the original case was a painful challenge to say the least). This case is so user friendly and the open segments where the flaps are for charging etc just makes everything so much easier than the constant taking the camera out of it's original case to charge etc.I cannot recommend it enough.

Great GoPro case used on several excursions dunked in muddy water for RC Car use and dropped in river! no signs of water ingress whatsoever, highly recommended! who needs the genuine product.

I like this frame, it has a nice feel to it compared with the original one and I can access the charging port without removing the case from the camera. Really easy to use with no difficulty closing the clip compared to the original version. I hope it will give me long service and I have no reason to think that it will not.
