Doesn’t work
I bought this after hearing rave reviews about it, but it doesn’t work well at all for me. The tiny about if teasing it offers just falls away after a short amount of time. I much prefer the regular old teasing comb I already have owned for years.

Adds body.
I use this brush to do a little back combing, thus giving my hair body, shape and contour. Perfect for that purpose.

Marilyn Brush Teasing and Backcombing Brush ...and Fine Hair
I suspect that my expectations were really high for having the Marilyn Brush give me a pouf where needed. The brush just does not cooperate with poufing my ultra fine blond hair by teasing. I think this brush would work for thicker hair, just not fine hair like mine. I believe that the brush is a good quality brush, too, with its boar hairs. Although I have felt disappointed in what the brush can do for me personally, I do believe it's the major factor of hair type that is in play here, not the brush.

Decent brush.
I got this brush because most people I know have this brand teasing brush. I was impressed when I first got it, and I'm still pretty impressed now. It absolutely does its job very well. I gave it 4 stars because the bristles are already falling out and I've only had it around 2 months with very minimal use.

It Does Wonders for BIG Hair!
Love this brush! No matter what I did I could not tease my hair with a comb! I bought this brush because I seen it demonstrated on Rachael Ray Show ( you have to hold the strand of hair up, start at the top and brush down 3 times, spray the back on the strand with hairspray and lay hair down and blend, it works every time!). It works wonders! Now I fix my hair "BIG" every day!

The brush teases hair really great. It doesn't brush your hair so good, just a good teasing brush.
