Clean & wide! Perfect!
Best husks I have ever bought. Especially here in SE Tennessee. I'm a New Mexico native & I still keep the NM ways alive by making dozens of pork tamales every year at this time. So happy I found these. Clean, wide & not all dried out.

Fine for crafting but not food
If you're just crafting with these like me, they're fine, but if you need them for food, I wouldn't buy them. Several had mildew, mold, and weevils on them. They honestly look worse in person than they do in the pictures.

Made awesome tamales!
Ordered multiple bundles. Delivered timely. Freshness wasn’t an issue. Very few “short” husks, requiring fewer double wrapped tamales. Our last batch was almost 300 tamales. Will definitely buy again.

Larger leaves
Larger, thicker, cleaner, less bug bites quality leaves than the grocery store ones.

good and really fresh even damp. maybe too damp
in good shape but they are damp. there’s condensation in the bag. i don’t see or smell mold but i’ve got to get them laid out and dry. they do state they are new husks, however…. so i’m assuming this is to be expected.

Great buy for our annual tamales.
Perfect for our tamalada. Some people said that these were a little wet upon arrival and I agree. They were not as dried as the ones in the grocery store. However, ours did not have mold or smell mildewy. The fact that they were not as dry meant that we only needed to soak them for a short time before using them. These were mostly large husks which meant we didn't have to piece a bunch together like we often need to with grocery store brand. These worked out great for our tamales.
