This 4000 model is rock solid and built like it is supposed to last. Had a tricky install on my particular metal shop door so called Dynasty directly. To my surprise, Jason picked up the phone at 6:30pm CST and spent 20 minutes trouble shooting my situation. He helped me find a creative solution and everything turned out great. I had one of these in the lighter strength, and I liked it so I got this second one. I had noticed with the first one that the screw heads stripped out pretty easily. This one though, the one bolt that ruins the whole thing if it fails, the head ripped off while tightening it. So of course to fix the problem I would have to drill out and replace the bolt which just seemed impossible to me. I left it as is, the arm does not seem it will come off without it on. Alternatively I think I could reposition and move the arm to the bottom. Anyway, complaint about the ripped off bolt head aside, the closer is great. The first one has lasted for years closing my door. This one has a little more pulling power for the heavier door and it works great too. They are very adjustable and easy to install. I like how well it works. I have noticed if you are using it 10 times in a row it gets a little fatigued on the closing part, but comes right back within a minute or so.

The media could not be loaded. This thing is absolutely amazing. Amazing for $45. It’s heavyweight feels very solid great nice thick screws come with it and it works fantastic. I did have to read the installation instructions several times to understand how to mount it because you have several options on how to do it, however after that initial confusion/hesitation I went ahead and installed it and it worked perfectly the very first time no adjustments needed …. wow!!

after buying many cheaper units that fail within months the quality in this unit can be seen and felt, should last a long time, also VERY strong backcheck!
