Used this to make lavender powder for coffee. Be careful using it with the color, it could stain clothing. Gives good flavor and color to how I use it. Mixed well with lavender powder binder.

I switched from pomegranate fruit powder, I use it to flavor drinks like mate tea, and I feel better fruit flavor from this one. The fruit itself is super-rich in vitamin C, I guess some is retained and it also improves flavor (both sugar and vitamin C reduce bitterness of mate tanins). Additionally, black currants are super-popular in Poland (like pomegranates in Iran), so I am more positively inclined to a familiar taste. Somehow neither fruit is popular in USA, especially currants. Lastly, Pure offers a fair price.

Tastes fine, dissolves easily in cold water

Surprisingly more tart than I expected, but easy to remedy with a sweetener added. Bought to make a less-expensive kir royale whose sugar content I could control. Still working on the ingredient balance, but I expect this will work well.

This stuff is purple and a bit sour, that's all I can say about it. This light-purple powder gives nice color to smoothies, but it doesn't have any hint of aroma or flavor of black currant berries. I grew up with black currants in our garden, I know the taste. It's very specific - if you tasted it once, fresh or as a jam, you understand what I'm saying. I honestly don't know how such a strong flavor could disappear in the process of making this powder. If the flavor is lost in the process, what about the compounds that are supposed to be beneficial for eye health etc? Does this powder still contain the antioxidants that black currant is valued for? I have no idea. I found whole dry berries on amazon, I'm going to order them and see how it compares to powder.
