Pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture!
These are excellent. My 11 yr old enjoyed them. I've made keto bread recipes in the past and have always been disappointed by texture and flavor. I was so surprised by these! I love that there isn't a laundry list of ingredients, it strikes a fair balance. We swapped butter for refined coconut oil because my son cannot do dairy. We followed the instructions except for a few things: we didn't put the oil in the freezer, and just incorporated pea sized amounts as instructed but at room temp. We also didn't use a biscuit cutter and didn't stretch the dough out as thin as it suggested. Still came out great: they had a nice inner moisture and had a crust-like exterior. There was no eggy flavor. They may have come out even better if we were precise with the directions. I had to keep my son away from a third helping! We didn't have any troubles with digestion either. These will be our go-to option for sure! g

Good drop biscuits
These are not flaky biscuits but drop biscuits: Skip the folding step. You’ll need ice water, a frozen stick of salted or unsalted butter (mix has plenty of salt), a box cheese grater, a mixing bowl and fork, a sheet pan with parchment paper, and a measuring cup. Follow the directions, except skip Step 7 and 8. Make 8 four-inch balls of the dough. Place on parchment paper on tray and then flatten the tops. They should be about 1.5-2 inches thick. Cook for 10 minutes only. They continue to cook when you take them out, so do not overcook. Cut along the edge with a serrated knife. Good with cheese, bacon, or sausage, or toasted. Does not flake apart which is great for breakfast sandwiches. I’ve also made BBQ chicken sandwiches with these. Tastes pretty much like regular drop biscuits, but I might experiment with adding herbs to the mix. Scotty’s pizza mix is good, too. EDIT: I tried 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese instead of butter (again skipping Step 7 and 8) per another commenter “S” instructions. Made 8 crunchier biscuits with no flavor, but much quicker, and easier cleanup. See third picture. I cooked them 11 mins. Outside crunchy, inside soft, they rose up higher. Then we sliced, toasted and added herb cheese, but much less overall calories and cholesterol without the stick of butter. Cottage cheese has carbs, so this version does have some carbs. This works fine for flavorful inserts.

Decent Enough
The biscuits are not fluffy and don't smell appetizing (I guess that's to be expected), but with butter and keto jam, they are good enough. This morning, I ate 2 biscuits for breakfast, and three hours later, I still feel pretty full and satisfied. Truth be told, I never made biscuits before, so I found the instructions a little strange (maybe it's normal for biscuits in general?), but once I got the hang of it, they were easy to make and bake. I had no issues preparing and baking them for a first-timer. Actually, I am here, buying again. Overall, I recommend them, but they are not fluffy and definitely need some other flavoring, such as butter, keto jam, keto honey, etc.

DELICIOUS
This brand is excellent. I was skeptical when I bought the biscuit mix the first time I made those biscuits and they were so delicious. I do wonder though if it’s really zero net carbs because it says on the back there are 23 carbs but there’s also some fiber which reduces the number of net carbs. From what I know of calculating that carbs this doesn’t seem to add up… Regardless it is so delicious. I just bought the cupcake mix. I have high hopes.

Tasty Low-Carb Option, but Difficult to Work With 🍪
I’m always on the hunt for low-carb snacks, and Scotty’s Everyday Keto Biscuit Mix caught my attention. While the flavor is pretty good, the texture and consistency leave a bit to be desired. Pros: Low Carb: Perfect for staying on track with a keto lifestyle while enjoying a biscuit-like treat. Good Taste: The flavor is satisfying and better than many other low-carb mixes I’ve tried. Cons: Challenging Texture: The mix doesn’t hold together well, and I often end up with a sticky mess that’s hard to shape and bake properly. Messy Preparation: Despite following the instructions, it’s tough to get a consistent result without a lot of extra effort. Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a tasty, low-carb biscuit option and don’t mind some extra prep time, this mix might be worth trying. However, the consistency issues make it less convenient than I’d hoped. I’d recommend it more for those who don’t mind experimenting to get the perfect bake.

2 carbs per biscuit? I doubt it.
First of all... I'm on a crash diet to lose some weight before surgery next month. I've been eating almost zero net carbs. For the past two weeks I've eaten nothing but summer sausage, celery, tilapia, scallops, and an occasional egg. My calorie count each day has been between 250 and 500, and I've been losing 0.5 pounds to 1.4 pounds every day. In 14 days I've lost 13.8 pounds. I was getting bored with what I was eating, so I searched for "keto" on Amazon. These looked good, and with 2 grams of carbs per biscuit, I figured I could eat two and not have a negative impact on my diet. I added them to my cart, and I also bought some shiritaki noodles, which are supposed to have 0 grams of net carbs. On Saturday night I made the noodles, which were delicious with a garlic cream and scallop sauce. The next day when I weighed myself I was expect not quite as much weight loss, simply due to the weight of the noodles in my belly. But I still lost 0.6 pounds that day. The next morning I made these biscuits. I'll get to the quality in just a minute, but other than the two biscuits I ate very little that day. These biscuits are supposed to be 90 calories and 2 grams of carbs each. I had nothing else to eat until that evening when I had one tilapia filet (110 calories 0 carbs). and a stick of celery (5.6 calories and 0.6 carbs). So in total, if the nutrition information on the package of biscuits is correct, I had consumed about 295 calories yesterday, and <5 grams of carbs... But this morning, when I weighed myself, I had GAINED 0.3 pounds! I haven't lost less than 0.5 in over two weeks, but I suddenly GAINED 0.3 in one day. On a starvation diet! The only thing I can think of that could have caused this is the biscuits. Carbs combine with water to form glycogen, which is the "water weight" people lose when they first start dieting. It's my opinion, based on my experience, that these biscuits contain more carbs than stated on the packaging, which caused my to fall out of ketosis and gain weight. I put the rest of the biscuits in the freezer. I'll eat two more in about a week and see what happens. If I gain weight again, the rest are going in the trash. I'll update this review then. In regards to the flavor, they were just OK. They did not rise at all, so the cooked biscuits were very flat and dense. If they are truly Keto biscuits, then I would eat them just for variety. But I question whether they are truly Keto, and if I'm going to eat a non-Keto biscuit, I want it to be a good one.

Real biscuits!!
Attached is a photo of a farmers breakfast casserole, served with sausage gravy on side. If you are low carb/keto and you need biscuits and gravy, Scottys is it. I have tried making biscuits with carb quick and I have tried making scratch keto biscuits all have missed the mark. Scottys biscuit mix is the best. The instructions seem complicated. Let me save you time. Empty contents of baking mix in a ninja blender or food processor, Butter or lard can be used. Cut the butter or lard into squares. Pulse the butter or lard in your food processor or ninja blender. Pulsing, slowly drizzle the liquid in until it becomes a ball. This literally takes 5 minutes and the dough comes out perfect. I've included modifications to this mix because the texture is perfect however the flavor is mid. It calls for 1 cup of water and ice. I've substituted equal parts half and half, water and a teaspoon of powdered buttermilk. Make sure you are using salted butter or lard. Lard will make it flaky if that is what you're after. Also a teaspoon of baking powder if want the Grands effect. Important! Add a pinch of salt! Add a pinch of monk fruit or allulose! These little tweaks will have you believing these are homestyle biscuits. Now for the farmers casserole. Bake the Scottys biscuits at 350 6 minutes, remove from oven I used a 9×9 casserole dish 12 eggs 1 cup cottage cheese Nutmeg, cayenne pepper, seasoning salt 1/2lb breakfast sausage (cooked) 1/2 cup chopped bacon (cooked) 1 cup shredded cheese In a food processor or ninja blender combine eggs, cottage cheese, seasining. Add sausage. Pulse a few times. Pour into greased casserole dish. Cover with cheese and bacon. Bake uncovered 350 20 minutes. Place biscuits on top. Cover with foil and cook another 20 minutes. You can top with more cheese and bacon if you want 😋 Pour sausage gravy on top before serving.
