Well made. Looks great and it's easy to use. Get this to keep your hose tidy and ready for use. The smart trak system keeps the hose wound up nicely so that when you pull it out to use, it comes out easily and without effort. Make sure you only wind and unwind when the hose is turned off to keep the wear and tear down (water is heavy). The resin material lasts a long time, even when stored in the sun. The weakest point is the handle....once again, don't reel in the hose when full....pay attention to how the hose is going into the reel to make sure it doesn't get tangled. The smart trak works well for this, but if you reel in the hose at a big angle to the trak, it can still get tangled. Use your foot as a guide when it comes in from an angle and you will save yourself a hassle and keep the hose from becoming tangled. It's well made and will last for years if you treat it well and pay attention when you are winding up the hose. It comes with the connector to your hose bib.

Excellent addition to one's garden. We use it to unwind and wind up our 100' drinking water safe garden hose. What a nice, easy and useful tool this is. Our old hose reel box had to be trashed, when the handle broke off ---- and shame on the company for no longer selling replacement parts (boo). Should have got this hose reel box ages ago. Just love it. Especially love that the top opens up. Sometimes the hose end gets sucked back into the box and being able to open the top is a must. Have to say, though: Despite the fact that this hose reel box (we got it in brown) is less than six months old, the top of it is already fading and looking kind of worn. Combination of sunlight and water, it looks like. We keep ours in full sun, but I don't remember our other hose reel boxes (also all in full sun) starting to look "old" so early on in their lives. That said, all these months later and the mechanism still rolls very smoothly and easily.

The last hose reel I owned lasted 17 years. It was a Suncast. It finally gave up the ghost after record hard freezes at record temperatures for West Texas. The water in the plastic outlet water connector on the reel froze. When it thawed, it cracked slightly. It still worked well except that the leaking became a nuisance. Since I had left that reel and its water-filled hose exposed to the heat and cold of West Texas for 365 days for each of the last 17 years, I think I got my money's worth. So I ordered this new Suncast hose reel with great confidence. I was not disappointed. I have a very heavy-duty 75' rubber hose that is pliable, but quite heavy. With a little assistance from me, this new hose reel does an admirable job. And I have no doubt that, plastic parts notwithstanding, this reel should last many years,--just like its Suncast predecessor. What some of the negative reviewers report concerning trouble winding the hose on the reel, etc. seems a bit disingenuous to me. Yard work can be HARD work. Reeling in a hose requires some intelligent choices that I'm guessing some of the reviewers neglected to do, for one reason or another. For instance, you should turn off the water at the faucet so the pressure doesn't keep the hose stiff; remove the hose sprayer so it doesn't add unnecessary drag or catch on grass runners or other objects in the yard; position the hose in a more or less 90-degree angle out from the storage box; and use your left hand to help guide the hose as the smart track guide slides along its track. Yes, it takes a bit of effort, but, as I stated: Yard work is HARD work. And I love it! Thanks, Suncast! PS When I called the Suncast 800 number, I got a perky and helpful young lady (Sandy?). Her answers to my questions and her patience were 5-STAR. Since my 17-year-old hose reel was out of warranty (lol), she tried to find a replacement connector part for me. Alas, that particular reel and the needed part is no longer available. Otherwise, she was going to send me one! Ya gotta love customer service like that!

The leader hose that comes with this reel is inadequate and poor quality: it leaks around the area where the hose meets the metal male connector. In addition, the lip of the male connector is way too sharp and slices through the rubber washer in the hose reel. In addition, there is no swivel on the reel inlet connector, which means you have to twist the whole hose on before installing it to your water line. The best option I found was to purchase a separate leader hose with a swivel on both ends, like the Flexzilla swivel hose.

Packaged well, looks nice and works pretty well. I had to use some plumbers tape to seal the outer hose on the outside to keep it from leaking initially. Then held our hose pretty well, the only frustration being that it would slide around on the concrete when pulled. It does include anchors for going into the soft ground to hold it into place though. Didn't try those. Anyway, 10 months after purchase and after using about 4 times, the fitting on the actual hose reel cracked and leaks beyond ability to use any further. Water was left off when not in use, taken good care of and out of the elements. I've submitted a claim with them as it allegedly has a 3 year warranty. Hopefully if they do send a replacement, it will be one that's made with better quality plastic. When it works, it works well and is easy to retract the hose and pull it out for use. After this fitting cracked, however, it leaks like a sieve and I just pulled the whole hose out to connect to my spigot directly. Will update if I receive a replacement!

Very nice hose real, I needed something to replace my old metal cart which started leaking the following year after I got it but I needed something that could accommodate 200 foot oh garden hose. I know they advertise this as 150 foot but it held all of my hose with no problem. It was very easy to use and the operation was very smooth and with the gear drive hose winder hose retraction was a breeze. I just received this product so longevity I cannot speak for, but I did like the fact that they put the 90° connector inside the hose reel so that you did not have to feed the hose through the reel where you could possibly kink the way my old one did. So far, I am extremely happy with the overall look and operation. I just hope this thing will last me quite a few seasons.

This reel is so easy to work with. I put a 100 ft hose in mine and it reels in and out no problem. The box is sturdy material I think it’s gonna last us a while in the Florida sun.

I ended up really liking this hose hideaway I was expecting it to be a problem because I've had some subpar suncast items in the past. What I learned is you have to have a very stiff hose you can't have one of these very flexible type things. Flexzilla that I had which I'm returning didn't roll up on this thing at all but a regular hose did a great job I mean reeling it up it kept the hose in line and it was neat and then it reversed and I was really impressed. That smart track hose guide really works with the right kind of hose.

I was very happy with this hose holder . It looks good and is very durable. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in purchasing this product.

Nice hose

Product is great. You just have to keep the water on when you are rolling it, otherwise it will either jam or be hard to roll. It looks good outside as well with the patio.

The container looks great and is what I want. Unfortunately it started leaking on the plastic hose connector on the hose reel inside and my return window closed 4 days ago (started leaking 32 days after receiving the product). Would like to recommend but simply can't. I wish it had metal connectors.
