My New Friend
Pros: Love it. I am so pleased with this well thought out and appointed tool. It thinks of everything. I have used it on porcelain tile floors, area rugs and even berber wall-to-wall carpet (this is not endorsed by the Company) and appreciated the good job it did. Saves taking my area rugs outside to wash, and hand-washing my tile floors. Thoughtful features: swivel head maneuverability with extensive turn radius; Since it vacuums and mops at the same time, it saves an extra step in the process Push-button, self-cleaning brush roller, (performed right in its own little tray); Tangle-Free Brush Roll helps keep strands of hair out of it; Auto stop if too much debris is sensed; Two tank system so floor is never exposed to dirty water; Both tanks are designed to be easy to remove, fill or rinse and replace; Preferred a corded machine and this has an extra long cord for convenient uninterrupted cleaning; A hook to snap cord into at top of handle to keep it out of the way as you clean; (I’m always walking backward, away from the just-washed floor) Handy stand for level storage (and during self-cleaning operation); Convenient tank-cleaning brush and accessory drying rack plus special cleaning tool for those times when you need more than the self-cleaning function Ergonomically designed handle with all the buttons within easy reach for toggling between hard floors and rugs, spray trigger and self cleaning options. Customer service was immediate and helpful when I had a question about the spray function (you do need to hold spray trigger for 10 seconds before starting when you want to use the spray feature. I use filtered water from the tap, without the cleaning solution so far. Instead I spray my own cleaners onto the floors. The test: White socks remain white while walking about afterward. Cons: Sides of the machine can’t get close enough to the wall to clean that space. Somewhat better if you can face in straight from front, which In spite of the swivel head is awkward in a narrow hallway. A bit too big to fit under some upholstered furniture pieces.

Great solution for cleaning floors!!
Very easy to assemble and use. Lightweight and has great suction. It maneuvers easily around & in-between furniture. Love the self cleaning feature. I bought this as a solution for cleaning my hardwood floors. I am semi-disabled from a back injury and I could no longer bend down to scoop up dirt that was swept with a regular broom, and the swiffer mop worked well, but not for deep cleaning. The solution has a pleasant smell. I appreciate the long cord that allows me to clean the entire room without having to unplug mid-clean. I highly recommend this product.

Filter clogs way too easily
I live in a home that is just shy of a thousand square feet. I have one cat and three area rugs. The rest of my floors are wood, tile, and linoleum. I vacuum once a week and set the vacuum into self clean mode after every use. This vacuum worked pretty well the first few times, but then the filter became clogged so easily. I've taken apart a few times, cleaned the filter with a hose several times, but the longer I own it the easier it clogs. Again, I vacuum once a week and it will clog before I finish vacuuming my first rug. That means each time I vacuum, it shuts off, and I have to shake the filter out several times to pull lint out of it. It only takes a small amount of lint or pet hair to clog it. I've finally given up on it. I can't be cleaning this filter with the hose and waiting 24 hours for it to dry every single time I vacuum nor do I feel that I should be replacing the filter every few uses. The suction is pretty weak on carpet too. It's one redeeming quality is that it might be a nice replacement for a mop.

When reading the reviews for this item, be aware that many are reviewing a different product...
I reviewed this wer-dry vac a couple of months ago and am going to add my additional notes below the original: First, we have a large "drool-y" dog and my dark engineered wood floors have water spots and pawprints no matter how much I try to clean him off. This machine does a very decent job of cleaning these floors but here are some things to consider: VACUUM FIRST. Yes, this machine is called a vacuum but ALWAYS vacuum before using it. Otherwise debris and dirt will clog the filters and roller brush constantly. DAMPEN THE ROLLER BEFORE USING or you'll use a lot of solution to saturate it, and the roller doesn't clean very well at the beginning of the job when it's dry. TAKE YOUR TIME. A slow back-and-frth motion is best for cleaning. USE BOTH OPTION BUTTONS ON TOP OF THE HANDLE. The "hard floor" button dispenses a little water into the roller and then the vacuum sucks up the dirty water. The "area rug" button dispenses more solution and I find that I need to use this option in especially dirty areas (such as where our dog has dropped water after he has had a drink while I'm not home to wipe it up). WORKS BEST ON SMOOTH HARD SURFACES AND AREA RUGS. We have "hand scraped" floors and the brush doesn't hit the floor evenly, so it takes some extra time to clean these floors. The machine cleans smaller area rugs very well, too. ALWAYS USE THE SELF-CLEAN feature after you are done with the machine. It takes about 20 minutes to do it right, and the parts (such as the roller brush) take at least a day to air dry. And rinse the brush, too. After the dirt and debris dry in the machine, it will be difficult to clean out and keep the machine working effectively. Also-- dump the dirty water outside but not down your sink (especially if you have pets) I have posted a photo of the small tool caddy and tools that come with it, and what the tools and slots are used for. All in all, I like this machine very much. It does a good job of cleaning and doesn't put as much stress on my shoulders as using my previous sponge mop did. It is a little fussy, figuring out how to best use it and needing to clean it afterward, but the result is worth it. EDITED TO ADD: To be honest, the novelty has worn off a bit. Proper cleaning of this machine and its parts after using is a pain. Our "hand scraped" floors just don't clean evenly. And even though I use distilled water and the Eureka cleaner in it, I often have to go over areas again. But there's nothing else out there that is any better (I've looked for over a year) so I will just deal with it.

Great vacuum mop combo
I have had it for a couple of years now. I love it. I wish I could get a replacement roller and filter for it.

It leaks and trying to get a refund has been a nightmare
It leaks and it’s working poorly after less then two months waited to review and it leaks and is now howling and is it working properly to get a refund has been a nightmare and nobody was reading my one star so I made a five star review so everybody could see that I have four months been trying to get a refund. I purchased this back in June or July and I had it start leaking within the first 15 days of use and when I called them to either help me with the refund or repair or just send me a new one and I’ll send this one back like a replacement one nothing and I still have yet to receive my refund and it is now October 15 so from June 10 or 12th or July 10 or 12th I’m not sure which one until October 15. I have yet to receive my refund

Not practical, more work than dry vac and a wet mop.
This has great suction and does an awesome job of cleaning and wet moping the floor. But there are many reasons that I can not give it a 5 star rating. Mainly that it is more work to clean the floor than just using vacuume and a wet mop such as a swiffer wet jet. The pros are that it does do a great job of cleaning and uses very little liquid. The cons are that it take way too much work to clean each time you use it. Yes it does have a self cleaning system that cleans the roller. However if you have pets you will find the insides full of hair after each cleaning. After using the self cleaning method, you still have to tear it all apart, clean out all the hair, the filter, and the dirty tank. When you are done, you can't just put it away but you have to leave the dirty tank, roller, filter and other parts out to dry for 24 hours. Seriousy, you can clean the same areas of your self in less than half of the time by just using a hard floor vacuume and a Swiffer Wet Jet. If you are like me, you probably don't see the need to do a wet cleaning every time. I just use a dry vacuume a few times a week and only do a wet cleaning every 1-2 weeks. This vacuume does NOT do a good job of dry pickup. It is really only good for wet & dry cleaning. It is for this reason that I am returning it and giving it only 3 stars.

Do not buy this vacuum.
I have had this vacuum for a year. Was very happy until the brush roll cover broke. There is no part number. Can find pretty much everything else. I was told the tech team had to research to find this part. No one ever called back. How could Eureka not be able to find something that has to be on for it to work. Will be buying a new one somewhere else. This part couldn’t cost $10.00 Very disappointed in this company
