Glass Pen Window Marker: Liquid Chalk Pens for Glass (Black, Fine Tip)

In our household we struggle with family members understanding if the dishwasher is dirty or clean. I am the primary dish manager and got tired of answering the question, *and* sometimes I would forget to update the clean/dirty slider on the outside of the dishwasher door. I wanted a way for the family to be certain of the state of the dishwasher, so they can confidently know when they can put dirty dishes in it. (Side note: if your family has no difficulties with determining dishwasher state that's great for you, but for us we needed a more deterministic solution.) So, what I do is every morning after I unload the dishwasher I write "(day of the week) dirty!" on the inside of the door. Writing the day of the week means the family can see that this is today's notation, and know they can put dishes in the dishwasher without asking me or performing forensics on any dishes in there to see if they look clean or dirty. When the dishwasher runs overnight it washes away this water-based paint, so if the family sees that the inside of the door has no writing on it then they know not to push dishes in it. I know this may seem convoluted or overly complex to other folks, but for us it works. It eliminates guesswork and is a deterministic method for the family to know what to do. In any case, these pens work great for this process. They write nicely and visibly, they dry quickly, and they wash off cleanly every night. Throughout the day if liquids drip on the inside of the door the writing an get streaky, but still legible and still conveys the necessary information.

I use glass pens like this all the time for drawing on windows, and I really liked this brand of pen. I think it's easy to use, has fast drying ink, and is a solid color. It came off of a window with just water and a little bit of elbow grease. Overall, I think this is a great option for a window/glass pen.

I use this pen to write on clear plastic and glass food containers. I find the writing can later be easily removed (erased) using a wet cloth. Instructions for using this marker are printed on the marker label. The pen is easy to use and does not leak. The black ink I am using is both bold and bright giving me legible markings.

Perfect for decorating car windows!

Purchased for marking glass Mason jars (with fermentation dates). Results were disappointing. Not sure if due to the jar's curved surface (vs writing on a flat surface) but it wasn't easy to get the ink to transfer with a clean, uniform look. Thinner in some parts more than others, and didn't feel very satisfying to use. Too easily smudged off days later, while handling the jar, and the white ink didn't cover too well.

Bought these to label/date our Kombucha bottles and they work really well on the glass bottles. We bought the white ones and they are so much easier to read than the bright blue marker we had before. The only "Con" is they take a little longer to dry than our old markers, but not so long that it presents a problem. Just need to give them a minute to dry & then they are fine. Once dry it doesn't easily rub off, which is a good thing, but does come off if you use a little water or place item in the dishwasher. Will buy again.

According to my daughter, this pen works better than several other paint pens she has used for doing graffiti on perspex. Definitely recommended as it's a good price also.

I purchased two of these pens as I wanted to decorate all of my downstairs windows for Christmas and I didn't know if one pen would be enough, however, I only actually needed one pen, so a little does go a long way. To use the pens, you just need to press down on the nib a few times to get the ink flowing. I did this on a piece of paper to prevent any dribbles. You then just write, or draw whatever you want on to your glass. There was a point where I thought that the ink had run out, however, after dabbing the nib on a piece of paper again, the ink began to flow again. I suppose writing horizontally, rather than vertically messes with the flow. The coverage of these pens is excellent, and long lasting. I decorated my windows at the start of December, and I have just wiped it off now at the start of January. The ink would have been fine to stay on longer if required. Incidentally, all I needed to do to get the pen off the windows was to wipe it over with a warm wet microfibre cloth and give it a bit of a scrub. The ink will not just wipe off if you accidentally brush past it. I would definitely recommend these pens, and would buy them again.
