Is this weighted just on the front? How much weight is added,?

I don’t know a specific weight however I’m not sure that’s what I would call it. It’s super nice-great material and cozy. Enough that I feel it keeps my daughter warm. But if you are looking for something “sensory” based for sleeping this is probably not what I would consider this (not like a weighted blanket in my opinion). I would recommend this if you are just looking for some thing cozy like a sleep sack for a toddler.

Flame retardant free?

Not entirely sure but I would bet it’s got flame retardant

Is something supposed to be worn underneath this toddler sleeping sack ?

My kids do both. One likes PJ’s under and the other wears them alone. Both like these and reach for them every night.

What are the washing instructions for this product? The description above says both "machine wash" and "do not wash."

I machine wash and have not noticed any shrinking. I also dry on low.
