Nice Ear Plugs for Sleep โ Comfortable & Effective
These Flents Protechs Foam Ear Plugs work great for sleep. The foam is soft yet durable, making them very comfortable to wear throughout the night. Theyโre easy to roll and insert, expand well for a secure fit, and stay in place. I like that theyโre discreet and provide excellent noise reduction without feeling bulky. The quality is solid, and they offer great value for the price. I highly recommend them!

Why green is better than purple (in my opinion)
This is a review that is comparing these green "Flents Contour Ear Plugs - Soft Comfort!" to the purple ones, which are called "Flents Quiet Time Soft Comfort Ear Plugs." At the bottom I pasted a general review that doesn't compare the two so it isn't nearly as specific if you'd prefer to just read that. ------------------------------------------------------------- I like these green contour ear plugs way more than the purple ones. I have been using both for years and I now have a strong preference for the green ones. Why I like the green ones more: #1 - They are WAY more comfortable!! The #1 reason I switched. #2 - They are easier to put in place.* #3 - They stay in place better. #4 - They work better at blocking noise, but only b/c I can place them in my ear better. #5 - They are bright green! If I wear them during the day this is helpful. People can see them much easier than the purple ones and know that I can't hear them. ------------------------------------------------------------- *They are easier to put in place in my ear now that I have had some practice. When I first started using ear plugs I had a lot of difficulty placing them until I watched a youtube video and actually read the directions that comes with the Flent ear plugs (sadly). When I first started using ear plugs the purple ones were way easier to place because they are so much harder and thus stiffer. These green ones will bend if you don't place them correctly which was why I couldn't use so many other ear plugs at first. Now that I know how to insert them the green ones are easier for me because they are soft enough to really shove in. That being said, for me the green ones work better than the purple ones because I can reliably insert them correctly!! The purple ones are hard enough that if i don't take the time to place them carefully they will push themselves part way out of my ear. In that situation the stiffness of the purple ones is what allows them to propel themselves out of my ear if i don't hold my finger there for a very long time. I may have to reinsert the purple ones once or twice before I put them in correctly. In the end, I can insert the purple ones correctly if put forth the time and effort, which wasn't always true for other brands. The green ones are not nearly as stiff so if I place them perfectly I don't even have to keep my finger on my ear to make it stay in place. All in all, the green ones are simply easier and faster to place, for me personally, which means they work better. Lastly, the purple ones made my ears sore! The green ones are more comfortable and my ears are not sore anymore. I do wear them all night, every night. I'm a college student and at times I will sleep for 12 hours with the green ones in and once I take them out it doesn't feel like I had anything in my ear. That is why they beat the purple ones for me. Hands down. ------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------- A general review that applies to both the purple and these green ear plugs: I love these ear plugs! They work very well. I sleep with them every night. I do have trouble putting in ear plugs just right and something about how these are made makes it so I can easily put them in right. I think it's that, compared to other ear plugs, these are easier to roll up and continue to stay rolled up until I have them in place in my ear. They are the only ones that I can sleep in because when I put other brands in my ears incorrectly they stick out and eventually catch on the pillow and come out during the night. I can put these in correctly so they don't stick out and stay in place all night. I don't hear any snoring from the other side of the bed and I sleep peacefully :) I feel I sleep better with them in even if there is no loud noise around me because I don't hear any noise from the apartment building I live in or the nearby roads and parking lot. I wish I started using these a long time ago. Worth every penny!

Strong Noise Reduction, but Less Comfortable for Overnight Use
This item is very effective at what itโs designed to do. The noise reduction is strong, and itโs noticeably better than many other disposable earplugs Iโve tried. The shape is also an improvement over standard cylindrical plugs. They fit more naturally in the ear and are easier to insert properly. That said, comfort is the main trade-off. For shorter use, like travel or blocking out a loud environment, they work well. But for overnight use, they can become uncomfortable over time. Iโve had instances where they caused mild irritation or came loose during the night. Theyโre also not ideal for side sleeping, since pressure against the ear can make them uncomfortable. Iโve used these many times, including for hotel stays where theyโve been especially useful for blocking loud air conditioning units. However, after recently switching to reusable earplugs, the comfort difference became more noticeable. I now tend to prefer my newer reusable earplugs for sleeping, while keeping these for situations where maximum noise reduction is the priority. Overall, these are a strong option if you want high noise reduction in a disposable format. But comfort when used for hours (such as overnight) may vary.

These Are The Goldilocks (Just Right) Of Ear Plugs For Me
I am a very experienced foam ear plug wearer for many years and know how to insert ear plugs properly for a good fit. I use them for studying, shooting (under my ear muffs), and sleeping. I have tried a variety of ear plugs--re-usable (hard and not comfortable for side sleeping), different foam densities (too hard or too soft to get a good seal), straight or bugle shaped (the straight go in too deeply, are difficult to remove [sometimes need tweezers], and don't seem to seal as well as the bugles), and always come back to the bugle-shaped beauties. These plugs are rather large by comparison to others and so the dampening and rolling process before inserting takes a bit longer rolling to get them small enough for inserting into my ear canals. So, I dampen them more. (I put them in my mouth to dampen, but you may want to do something different :). (A few people I know use a very light [very light] bit of light baby oil to dampen before rolling. I don't know whether that works or is safe, so I am just reporting and not recommending you try.) Then I reach over my head with my loose hand and pull the top of my ear up (grab where it would point if I were an elf) and out before inserting the rolled ear plug with my other hand. When most way inserted, I place my pointer finger on the top of the bugle and slightly press or just hold for about 15 seconds to allow the foam time to expand in my ear canal. A few have commented that these plugs are large and go too deep. I have found that they can, so over time, I have gotten used to how high toward the bugle I initially roll the plug before inserting in my ear. The bugle shape does a couple of things for me. 1. It may help a bit in the sealing process and 2. It makes the plug very easy to pinch and remove with fingers. These are seriously great disposable ear plugs--not too hard, not too soft, but just right. The best that I have found for noise reduction and comfort.

Best Foam Earplugs I've Tried So Far
*Before starting the review let me say this, if foam earplugs don't work for you, then you are not putting them in correctly* Step #1: The adult ear NEEDS to be pulled UP and Back to straighten the ear canal. Just FYI, in children under 3 years of age you would pull the ear DOWN and BACK to straighten the ear canal (though I don't know if earplugs are even recommended for children that young). Step #2: Roll the foam earplug into a tight cylinder and insert deep into the straightened ear canal without stuffing. Step #3: Keep one finger lightly pressed on the exposed portion of the earplug while it expands, then release your ear. Step #4: Repeat process with the other ear. Step #5: Test hearing after insertion and prior to exposure to dangerously loud noises. Sounds should be very muffled with proper insertion (yes, even with cheap/low-quality foam earplugs). Review: I would estimate I've tried 5 or 6 different types of earplugs before these and these are honestly better than the previous foam earplugs in every aspect, other than price. That being said, the price is still reasonable and they can be reused a couple times depending on how clean you ears are lol Function: Foam earplugs are generally great for hearing protecting and these are no different. No pressure or awkward weight on the head like from the earmuff style hearing protection. These stand out from the competition by being noticeably quieter than any other I've tried. Most people are familiar with the orange foam earplugs, but these are softer foam and larger diameter. This allows them to compress more and expand more, which means they can be placed deeper in the ear canal and fit tighter to the ear canal without producing excessive pressure/discomfort. An important aspect of these is that they cut down on the noise level while allowing for some hearing. This sounds like a negative, but it almost never is. Realistically, at a shooting range you need to hear others when they speak loudly to maintain proper safety. When you're asleep, you still need to wake up to that dreaded alarm clock. I think you get the picture, but these make any normal extreme noise exposure safe and any annoying roommate noises disappear. Unless you work with jets, jackhammers, or regular/extended firearm use, these are more than sufficient. Fit: I started off by explaining proper insertion just because some people are confused on that aspect. If you have normal ears and any brand of foam earplugs, then you should get serious sound reduction with proper insertion. So it isn't about if these earplugs fit you, they will and so would the orange ones from Walmart. BUT these soft contoured earplugs do fit better and make the insertion process easier than anything else I've tried. They compress a lot with very little pressure and expand quite slowly. One tip with these is to roll the entire earplug into a cylinder, including the flared end. This ensures deep insertion and awesome hearing protection. Comfort: Ok so we are finally to an area to where these earplugs outmatch the cheap competitors completely. Some cheap foam earplugs are soft and comfortable for hours (even overnight occasionally), but some cheap foam earplugs are not very soft and expand quickly. These aren't really comfortable enough for extended wear in my opinion. These contoured foam earplugs are what I consider to be very soft. They are something like a large soft marshmallow in their density if that makes sense. They compress freely, but still expand back to their previous shape. They are the absolute perfect level of softness and they have never caused me any discomfort. Who Should Buy These? If you ever find foam earplugs uncomfortable, then these are for you. If you need a pair to sleep in, yep. Or if the cheap foam earplugs are letting in a little too much noise, these will cut the noise quite a bit. Also, if you are looking for true silence, then you need to check out the 3M Peltor X-Series Earmuffs (NRR 31dB). I wear those when I need to focus and don't need to hear anything at all. I wear the soft contoured foam earplugs in combination with these earmuffs sometimes and I honestly couldn't hear someone talking loudly directly at me. Wearing that combo will turn loud noises into barely discernible noises. I sometimes use that combo for study or meditation. I don't know if anyone else is just looking for absolute silence, but if so, I just saved you some research lol

Good price but rather large
To the one struggling to decide which ear plugs, I hope this helps. I spent hours, if not days, researching ear plugs on Amazon. I ended up with 8 different ones because, well, Iโm indecisive. Many of these didnโt work for me due to my own weird ear anatomy but I wanted to give my experience with each and what Iโd recommend given your situation. Everything is subjective, but I hope this helps someone else as the previous reviews helped me. Iโll put my quick summary first and the details after for those wanting more info. *The pink ear plug is an average run-of-the-mill ear plug for size comparison. To summarize: If you have shorter ear canals and more sensitive ears I would recommend Mackโs Thermafit, adult/kids silicone ear plugs, or Hearos Softstar foam. If you have average ear canals and want the most noise blocking I would get Howard Leight. If you prefer contoured earplugs and find them to be the most comfortable then get Flents Protech Contour. If you have very narrow (but not short) ear canals, then get Mackโs slim fit or Flents Protech Sleeping. White Hearos Softstar foam: These ear plugs are wider than most but shorter and the foam is very soft. They are comfortable and didnโt hurt my ears, even when laying on my side. The foam is so light and fluffy though it lets in more noise than other ear plugs. If comfort is most important to you, youโre a side sleeper, and you donโt need complete silence, these are for you. Tan Mackโs Thermafit: This was the last pack of ear plugs I ordered to try and I finally found the right ones for me. The foam expands more quickly and is a bit rougher texture than others but once you get it in your ear it is just as comfortable at the Hearos and blocks as much (if not more) noise as Howard Leights and silicone. If you have short ear canals, want something comfortable that blocks out the most noise, try Mackโs thermafit. Purple Mackโs Slim fit: I have somewhat smaller ear canals but these were too narrow for me. They didnโt block any sound and despite them being thin, they are still long. If you have very narrow ear canals that are an average length, these would be a good choice for you. Dark Green Howard Leight low pressure: Howard Leights are soft and I found that they blocked out the most sound out of all the ear plugs I tried. They are a bit long for my ears but I just have short ear canals. If you have average ear canals and want the most noise blocking ear plugs, I would recommend these. Light Green Flents Protech Contour: I like contour ear plugs because my ears are sensitive. These are pretty large ear plugs and not the best for those with small ears. They were the best price of all the earplugs I tried. If you have average-larger ear canals, are a side sleeper, or prefer contoured ear plugs, these are for you. Blue/White Flents Protech Sleeping: I thought these would be my Goldilocks ear plugs after I liked the regular Protech contour ones but found them to be too big. Well these were way too small. They fit in my ears easily but donโt block any noise, much like the slimfits. I can still hear the clock ticking, the traffic, my dog snoring everything. Iโm so bummed! If you have tiny (and I mean tiny) ears and like the contoured foam, I would get these. Mackโs silicone ear plugs (orange kids and clear regular): As someone who generally hates having things deep in my ears, silicone ear plugs sounded like the way to go. I found the clear ones to be huge and I was having to cut them in half so I ended up getting the kids size. They are comfortable and are good for side sleeping. They also block out a lot of noise. My issue with these is that they tend to suction to your ear which is uncomfortable and you can hear your heart beating in your ears. I think itโs something you can get use to though. If you hate foam/regular ear plugs, have small or sensitive ears, and want to still block a lot of noise, Iโd try these. Of all the ones I tried, I found Mackโs Theramfit to be the best all around. Happy sleeping!

Couldn't survive without these
A bit large for my ears, but these are a godsend. I've been slowly losing what little sanity I have left in the "city" where I live. It's car culture TO THE MAX and I live on a hill above the intersection of three of their favorite streets. Mustangs, Chargers, Camaros, little street racers, mosquito motorcycles, Harleys and lifted trucks - and we don't need no stinkin muffler laws here, thank you very much. YEE HAW! It's like living on the infield at a race track. I should have stayed in US City No. 2 and at least maintained access to good food and the Pacific Ocean. Then again...I really couldn't afford to stay there and the tragedy of the fires would have got me permanently committed. ๐ญ No use looking back, but never did I ever think I'd see the day when I had to wear ear plugs pretty much 24/7 just to survive, but here I am. I can't stand the noise most people seem immune to and actually thrive on. And I've got misophonia - I can hear someone in a restaurant smacking their lips from six tables away, lol. Very grateful for these ear plugs. I've got a box in the house, one in the car, a baggie full in my purse and a pair in the pockets of every jacket I own. I made an extremely poor choice of where to retire, I can't afford to move and I sure as H.E.-double hockey sticks can't beat the fellas rippin it up in their fine urban chariots, so I have to find ways to cope. I just ordered a box of the purple ones too - we'll see which is better. Wishing peace and quiet for all of us who want it. ๐คซโ๐ผ๐ชท๐๏ธ๐

Good sound ratings, versatile, block out a lot of noise.
When I worked night shifts, these were my staple ear plugs to have on hand when trying to sleep in the day. I liked them so much I would travel with them also because they can really help sleep quality when there is a lot of noise. The carrying case makes me feel that they will stay clean. They stay in my ears well and the softness is decent. They do mold to my ears well. I bought these for my dad who does loud mechanic work, and they are his go to as well. I have also used these when shooting guns, so they are versatile based on their sound rating which is important.

excelente calidad
