Genuine Floyd Rose Special Tremolo System

The Only difference between floyds is the Metal types. This series is as good as any.

Very happy with product, it came nicely packaged in a hard box with foam supporting everything from moving, all loose parts are bagged and sealed. The trem itself is a “Special” design and comes as described with everything needed for attaching to you guitar including the springs and claw. It does not include the clamping nut. I was replacing a black Special with this Chrome Special. The one that came with my Dunable Asteroid had noise issues I could never resolve and thought this might be a design flaw with the Special designs however this chrome replacement does not have noise problems. It sounds great, rings out clear and even amongst all strings. Very happy with this Floyd Rose Special and would buy again if needed

Purchased this to replace my 30 year old original Floyd Rose setup on my Jackson, and this fit great! The only difference between this setup and the old one is the bridge studs, these were larger so I had to drill out the existing holes to fit the new sleeves, but other than that everything fit like a glove. It literally includes everything, including springs and whammy bar. If you’re looking to refresh your beat up original equipment, this kit is perfect.

The Floyd Rose FR Special Series Tremolo is great quality and I replaced it on my Jackson JS32 Rhoads, it fit like a glove and I intonated my guitar to perfection, but I expected I would get the locking nut as well since the description says it is in the package but it is not the part of it. I'd give it a 5 star if it contained the locking nut but I can't give it a 3 because it's huge improvement.

I don't even want to give this 1 star but I have to put something. This is a really bad Trem. Even upgrading the zinc alloy parts dose not work. This thing will not stay in tune. I wish I could send it back. I wound up replacing it with an old Gotoh I forgot I had. And just like that; TUNED. No problems with the gotoh. I will be buy the Gotoh 1996T eventually. Save your money.

Yes, it doesn’t come with a locking nut. If you want one with the nut included you’ll actually have to read the listing and look at the pictures. That’s why it’s cheaper. This gives you the option as a builder to choose any width, color, or style of FR nut you like, or to save forty bucks if your guitar already has one, like mine did. That said, this is such a good tremolo unit I have no need or interest in spending any more. The $20 licensed bridges are surprisingly high quality, but the trem arm is always wobbly on them, whereas on these Specials you get a snug fit so the tremolo is nice and smooth.

Exactly what I ordered and expected. I have been making some visual upgrades to some of my guitars going with gold hardware instead of the factory shipped black versions. This is a real FR, easy to switch out and performs exactly as it should. Comes with all the needed parts. Price is right, quality is on point. On the right guitar (color), they look great!

Be Aware! it doesn't come with a locking nut, even though it is listed. I contacted customer service but they couldn't do anything. The bridge itself is fine for the price.

The overall build quality is poor. I bought this trem and an upgrade of sorts for a 2008 Japanese Jackson. The Trem fits perfectly in the trem cavity perfectly. So it's ok as a direct swap. However build quality lets it down badly. I have had to replace two of the string saddles on the first setup. The screw thread on the saddles have rounded off and are a right off. It's outside the 30 day return, I Bought the Item on 12th January '24 and due to other commitments I have only now April 11th '24 had a chance to fit it otherwise this would have gone back. I don't have any faith that this trem is going to last, the Jackson own brand lasted very well. If this starts to go then I'll be going Gotoh 1996T as a replacement. I know some will say it's a 'SPECIAL SERIES' they're not great, but It should be of reasonable quality and this is not. Very sad.
