i’ve bought 2 of these & in love them. they’re warm. they fit great & they’re stretchy so if you have a bigger head it will most likely still fit you! i got black & it’s black. lol. it isn’t the best if it’s windy bc it doesn’t fully block the wind. but it’s perfect if you’re out moving around & you’re not trying to be sweating but you’re still trying to be warm. i will say that the mouth cover part doesn’t really line up well on my face. it’s very low & tightening the string things really doesn’t do much bc then it just makes the eye part smaller & more narrow so it’s kind of annoying since it blocks your vision & since it’s not tight it moves around & that bothers me. so i just don’t tighten it. but yeah for $9.99 it works great.

This balaclava arrived opened but appeared unused, so I figured I'd give it a chance. She's cute, she's warm, and she 100% does NOT fit over a helmet. If you are a child (or have a child-sized head) then perhaps this will work better for you, but for me (someone with an appropriately-sized noggin) fitting this over your helmet will result in being almost suffocated. Literally. If youre someone who just wants the warmth, it does actually fit nicely under a skii helmet, albeit it does look a little odd. Or as shown in the picture, it does fit fine over most beanies, but lets be honest, a healthy 90% of us buying this probably did so for the over-helmet aestetic and warmth. Points for style and heat, minus points for helmet (or lack thereof) functionality.

Love it. It’s not as thick as I’ thought it would be. But it’s great for layering under my coat hood. On windy cold days the air cuts through. But under my hood I’m snug as a bug. I can protect my face and neck easily. No fussing w a scarf. The hood can be tightened when cold or loosened when warm. I get cold easily so this is a savior. I threw it into the washing machine and dried on very low temperature and the fuzz looks great. Did not matte down.
