I love it. Using 2 screens, it's so much easier to have a touchscreen for both displays. I almost returned it due to problems getting it hooked up. It took nearly 3 weeks to find the right connector (I have a lightweight laptop that only has USB and mini-HDMI connections) and get the monitor working. By the way, this monitor doesn't work with a USB connection. Once I got it connected, a second challenge was that the monitor reflected my light fixture in the middle of the screen so I couldn't really use it since the built-in stand tips it back. It took another week to find a stand that I could use that would keep the monitor vertical. I found a heavy one so when I use touchscreen it doesn't move. Glad I didn't give up - a second touch screen makes it so easier to maneuver between two screens and makes me more effective. Ten times better than a regular monitor and worth the extra money.

I bought this because I wanted a large touchscreen to connect to a Raspberry Pi and this seemed to be compatible with Linux. I was not able to find any other touchscreen monitors of similar size that looked like they would work. I connected this (using 2 different cables, the USB cable included with the monitor and a micro-HDMI to standard HDMI cable that I ordered separately) and it worked immediately without having to mess with any settings. No 10-point touch on Linux, but that was expected, and not something I needed.The negatives: The cord cover panels on the back were a little difficult to remove - I thought I was going to break them in the process but fortunately didn't. The screen is also very reflective, which I knew from reading other reviews. It still gets 5 stars from me overall for the compatibility.

Worked for about 3 hours on day one. The next morning, absolutely nothing.No power, no light on. Nothing works, it is completely dead.I paid full price, then shipping + import tax to outside the U.S.I will never buy a ViewSonic product again.When it worked, the image quality wasn't great (poor contrast and black levels). The whole *thing* feels horribly cheaply made. It is a flimsy plastic construction. Thick and ugly.Well, now I don't have to look at it as I purchased several hundred dollars worth of e-waste.Thank you ViewSonic for this absolute pile of garbage.

This is a great monitor. The touchscreen worked well, and the video was crisp, clear, and as expected. One weird thing is that the monitor has DisplayPort and not HDMI, but the cable in the box is HDMI and not DisplayPort. Luckily I had several DisplayPort cables available to use.

ViewSonic is a good touch screen that is highly responsive and accurate. Its provides clear and vivid colors, making it ideal for use in flight simulators or other gaming applications. The monitor's build quality is easy to use and well built.Overall, the ViewSonic TD2455 seems to be a good choice for a touchscreen monitor for use in a flight simulator setup. Its combination of touch sensitivity, accurate colors, and sturdy build quality make it a good choice.

I effectively bought the cheapest "name brand" 1080p 16:9 touchscreen I could find. I wanted a touchscreen for a security camera DVR monitor to preclude needing a keyboard/mouse for occasional access to things like reviewing recordings or zooming a live feed.Overall, it's pretty good. I dropped a star because the touchscreen controller seems to go into a "standby" mode of some sort when idle and it can take an extra tap to "wake" it and start registering taps in Windows. I don't get this behavior on any other Windows-connected touchscreen, so I presume it to be a bug of the controller ViewSonic used.I do like that they used an edge-to-edge touch panel, so you can easily touch targets along the border of the viewing area. It's standard VESA mount compatible and the built in easel-type stand also doubles as a cable management aid when wall-mounting.Most importantly, the viewing angle of this display is easily 165-170°, which is impressive for a touchscreen of this size! Perfect for security monitors and other high-visibility applications.EDIT: I found the cause of the touchscreen sleep issue: The USB3 hub in this monitor, through which the touchscreen controller connects, appears to be what goes into standby. After a short while, power on the USB hub flickers off then back on, resetting ANYTHING attached to that hub. It's after this brief reset that the touchscreen starts to respond. Found this out after trying to power something else from one of the available ports and it gets powered off and back on again every time I wake the monitor (has power while on and idle, then flickers off and back on when you touch the screen). For this reason, I dropped a second star.

This monitor is terrific and easy to setup. The screen is extremely tough - it is setup in the garage. I accidentally hit the screen with the tip of a 450 degree soldering iron for a second and to my relief - not a mark on this thing. Thoroughly impressed!!!! Touch is very responsive - and works well even in the extreme winter cold.

I bought this monitor for a trade show to demo an app (had it flipped 90 degrees to appear as a phone/tablet). The monitor looks really good for general display purposes and I felt the touch was accurate and had good sensitivity.The only reason I didn't give this monitor 5 stars (keep in mind it's relative to price) is due to glare. This is more glare with this monitor than pretty much any other monitor I have; however, unless you have a window with direct sunlight in the wrong place, this probably won't be that much of an issue.As a side note, I used this in conjunction with a Raspberry Pi, and there were no issues with the touch screen interface. I didn't have to load anything extra, it was just plug and play.If you are considering using this monitor for demoing apps, a control station or a kiosk, this should meet your needs at a good price.I'd definitely purchase it again.

The glass surface is quite incredible. It's reminiscent of a gigantic smart phone. The picture is very crisp and if dialed up completely the contrast is incredible. The menuing system is easy to use and features capacitive touch buttons at the bottom of the screen (no mechanical buttons). I'm using this as an instrumentation panel for a milling machine and so far it looks great!The touchscreen is fully plug & play under Fedora Linux 31 (kernel 5.5.11). I use the XFCE4 window manager and I disable compiz because I have a low-end graphics card. There is no lag at all and touching windows to open and close is seamless.Other bonuses: there are built-in cable sheaths at the back which snap on and off and serve to hide the cables and the jacks. It makes the back of the monitor very clean looking, which is important if you are using this in a customer-facing environment. It's also a very clean and safe feature for e.g. restaurant applications.The only drawback to this monitor that I can see is the built-in stand at the back. Although it's well built and fairly strong, any touch screen like this needs to be locked down to something using the VESA screw bracket at the back. That said, it's hard to think of a built-in solution that would be better than a flip-out stand like this one. You wouldn't want this sitting on a classic "arm and a plate" like most other computer monitors. The fold-out stand does let you angle the monitor upwards at 30 degrees or so, which is awesome for standing desks.All in all this unit has greatly surpassed my expectations and I will return to edit and maintain this review as my setup evolves around this unit. Works well, just doesn't compare to my iMac's screen quality ( no surprise there to be honest..) but works perfectly with my Soundcraft UI24 mixer.So far so good
