Works well!! Great customer Service!!!
This heater works well!! Easy to setup and warms up my backyard nicely. I can now entertain friends & family on those cooler spring & fall evenings. What's even better is the support. This past Spring the igniter wouldn't light the heater so I called the support number & got a live body who emailed me instructions with video & pics to resolve the issue. Instructions were easy to follow and worked like a charm. They even followed up to see if everything was working as expected. That type of support these days are almost non existent. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great patio heater and great customer service
I purchased two East Oak 50,000 BTU patio heaters. The first one I purchased has been working fantastically for three years and I am thrilled with the performance. I replaced a previous patio heater that "looked cool' with a vertical flame, but did not give us enough warmth. The East Oak unit has a higher heat capacity and makes us much more comfortable on our patio. The paint on the base/cover for the propane tank has faded a touch in 3 years of full central Arizona sun. I leave the patio heater outside all year because the base/cover makes another nice little table in our patio area. Only slight paint fading in three years is very positive and a compliment to the quality of the unit. Most things fade much more quickly in the full sun in Phoenix. I purchased a 2nd patio heater that I never assembled during the first winter after purchase. "Winters" are short in Phoenix. the next year in 2024/5, we had very mild winter, even by Phoenix standards, so I never opened the packaging to assemble the new unit. I recently opened the box and assembled the heater (assembly was very easy, by the way). The patio heater fired right up, but the pilot light would not stay on. East Oak customer service was very helpful and gave me some tips on the phone and via email. When those tips did not work, East Oak asked for a short video of me trying to keep the unit lit. They determined the unit was faulty and are sending a replacement for the upper unit free of charge. The East Oak support staff have been fantastic to work with. I called them a couple of separate times and was on hold for less than a minute each time. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. When it was clear my unit was deficient, they were quick to offer a replacement free of charge even, though the upper portion of the unit was out of warranty because I did not open the box and assemble the new unit for nearly 3 years. Patio heaters are a great outdoor addition in Phoenix in the winter where we often have 'no burn' days where we cannot have wood fires. I cannot say enough good things about our existing Eat Oak patio heater and the quick way East Oak has replaced my defective unit.

Great heat output, solid value, and amazing customer service
Looks great, works well, puts out a lot of heat, and can't beat the price for all that. Bonus points for East Oakโs customer service: two years after I bought the heater, the base started rusting and became unstable. I reached out, and within 24 hours they replied and sent a free replacement part. The warranty is legit. Only gripe is the blue protective film on the reflector- itโs a pain to remove and takes about 30 minutes to get it all off. I also wish it felt a bit more sturdy. Tightening the bolts helps, but I was nervous about over-tightening and breaking something. That said, itโs stable enough that Iโm not actually worried about it tipping over, just the pole can look like it's not perfectly perpendicular to the ground at times, which repositioning it slightly will solve. I Wouldnโt trade the portability for more weight/sturdiness though- super easy to move around (as long as the propane tankโs out), which is a big win. Overall very happy with it.

A great portable heater for the patio or the garage!
This is a great heater for the garage and I imagine for the patio too. Unfortunately, it got too cold for patio use so I'll have to test that out in the Spring. I have tried using those sunflower heaters you put on 20# cylinders as well as a 200,000 BTU propane contractor canister heater in my unfinished garage, and what little radiates off of those does little to keep me warmed, and the rest, well just goes up through the trusses and out the ridge vent! Enter the patio heater. With it's large reflector, it reflects much of the radiant heat downward back to the floor where I want it, and surprisingly, very little goes over the heater - less than one would expect. So, why only four stars? This unit is delivered with "some assembly required." This was not an issue until I got to assembling the heater post and the heater head. The bolts and threaded inserts stripped out while securing these parts. The bolts to secure the head post extension were very soft and I stripped out one of the Philips heads in securing that part. I am currently using the heater in this condition, but when I start moving it around, I'm sure I will need to readdress this problem. In addition, the holes for the heater head didn't align well, and the head is slightly tilted. So, besides the assembly issues, I'm still quite pleased with the unit. It looks great and performs well and is like a heated oasis in a sea of ice! I'm sure it will be very enjoyable in the cool Spring and Autumn nights on the patio as well!

Amazing Heater & Even Better Customer Service
This heater looks fantastic and performs just as well. Itโs simple to use and easy to control the flame and heat output. The propane lasts much longer than I expected, which tells me the unit runs efficiently. Thereโs even a built-in platform that doubles as a small table. Swapping out propane tanks is quick and hassle-free, and the wheels make it easy to move the heater wherever itโs needed. I did run into an issue with the burner system that kept the unit from working properly. After contacting customer service and explaining the situation, they promptly sent a replacement burner assembly along with a cover for the inconvenience. The new burner was easy to install, and the heater has been working perfectly ever since. Their support team was responsive, detailed, and extremely courteous throughout the process. Although their communication is handled through email, they replied quickly to both my calls and messages. This experience really showed how much they value their customers. I wouldnโt hesitate to buy from this company again. If youโre considering this heater, donโt overthink itโgo ahead and make the purchase. Iโm confident your experience will exceed your expectations.

Very Nice Patio Heater
Update: I was contacted immediately by the team at East Oak. They have quickly diagnosed the issue and sent the parts needed to fix the Patio Heater. Awesome communication and resolution. This thing is awesome in the cold North Georgia evenings. Thanks Colin! After careful review and comparisons between several patio heaters including pellet heaters, the flaming pyramid towers, and the traditional Propane Patio Heater, I landed on the more traditional heater. After review of multiple brand reviews including both online and local, I decided on the East Oak Patio Heater, 50k BTU, UR50GN2. Great packaging, easy assemble and clear instructions comments convinced me to buy this brand. Easy to assemble, using a Phillips screwdriver, a 10mm wrench, and a 14mm wrench took about 45 minutes, the only hiccup was one of the four screws that hold the head to the pole stripped and the screw would not tighten up. The screw wasnโt over tightened, or cross threaded, it just never tightened up using reasonable effort. This resulted in the head slightly tilting as if it has a curious look. This is something I plan on resolving later. Great instructions, the startup is very carefully explained, Knob on High, press Igniter Button, Hold for 10 Seconds, and let the unit warmup at the Low Setting for 5+ minutes. And with this, we had excellent warmth on our screened in porch, and were able to enjoy several of the cool evenings while watching TV in this cool Georgia weather. The last three evenings have been wonderful. Heat within a 10 foot radius is okay at full power. Beyond that is barely noticeable. Not a problem to heat the area around our two chairs.

Great patio heater at an affordable price
Excellent patio heater. Well worth the money. Directions are easy to follow. All hardware is "blister packed" and labeled so they are easy to identify and do not get lost. The size is just right for our patio -- I may get a second one! The heat adjustment does allow for use on warmer vs. cooler days which also assists in keeping propane use as efficient as possible. I had a small issue requiring contact with customer support and customer support solved my problem very efficiently. I am glad we purchased it!

Ridiculously Great Customer Service
The heaters worked as intended, purchased 2, and the entire set up took about 30 mins to an hour, after doing quality control test on the gas hose. Initially, both heaters worked great, live in the Pocono Mountains, in Pennsylvania and the nights get cold fast. The heaters did not disappoint. After a few uses one of the heaters was giving a gas smell, so we stopped using it. Tried again, and gas smell again. Called the company up, took some pictures and a video. Mia, from customer service, understood the problem, and sent us a new burner. I couldnt believe it! No back and forth, or arguments, simply a we understand and a friendly tone. When the new burner arrived, installed it and it works perfectly. I will be purchasing 2 more heaters, and they have a customer for life. I also purchased the covers, which I recommend so that the parts dont rust. My family and are happy and it works a small table to place your drinks, hot coco, etc. Really impressed, definitely look no further if you're on this page. The heat itself can be controlled and it will do the job, we set it them up 9 feet opposite from each other which covers a good area.

Heats well but bad stainless steel
The heat is there and is easy to light up. On the other hand, after one year, there are some spots (light surface rust) on the stainless(!) steel cover over the propane bottle. Iโm unable to get rid of them.
