Remember that its just glue. You have to clean off all the old stuff first. And the spine if it needs it. I coated the pages that needed reinserting. Let them dry then dry fitted everything before final re-gluing. Try to use light coats. You can use a palette knife or firm cardboard as a glue spreader. Take your time. This stuff works well. I bought this adhesive to bind a family history book. It is excellent to work with ! I applied it with a small brush and the soap and water clean up was easy ! Looks great and is very durable . I would recommend this product for this application and many others...

A few months back I watched some videos on how to make your own sketchbooks with the perfect binding method. They stressed the importance of getting the right bookbinding glue but I thought I knew better since I had some white PVA glue already on hand. It was Weldwood which is a really good glue. I made 5 different size books but all the pages started falling out. I just lived with it and added some piece of tape to hold my sketches in. It looked terrible. I figured I would just buy premade sketchbooks in the future. Then, I finally decided to purchase special bookbinding glue like I had learned about. I took apart my books and removed the tape. I re-glued each with the Books By Hand PVA glue. What a difference! It dries super flexible yet it is strong. All my handmade sketchbooks now are fixed and work great. I highly recommend this glue for any bookbinding project or repair. Now I can continue to make my own sketchbooks and save money by doing it. Great product and well worth it.

This is great crafter's glue - good adhesion, dries clear - but the cap on the bottle is a pain. There's a flip up spout that's poorly designed - it clogs every single time you use it, to the point where you have to clear it with a long nail or piece of wire. Except for that cap, this would get 5 stars across the board.

I am absolutely amazed! I was looking to repair my personal Bible of over 14 years. The binding was shot and pages were coming apart. The nearest book repair shop was over an hour away. Plus, I could not be without my Bible for the many days it would take to send/receive back from the repairer. Out of desperation, I gave this glue a shot to try to fix it myself. The glue looks like the old fashion Elmer's glue we used to use in elementary school, so I was skeptical. BUT, it bound my Bible together and held very well. The glue dried very sturdily and you would never know it was rebounded with this glue if not told. Additionally, I tried it on another paperback book since the glue worked so well on my Bible. I had another prayer book that had fallen TOTALLY apart. I used this glue, and it also is like new. I would DEFINITELY recommend this product and would by it again myself.

The best for bookbinding, and useful for all sorts of other crafts and projects as well. Like several other reviewers, mine came with a cut-off style pointed tip, but no cap for it. Be aware you'll need to improvise on that.

I used this book binding glue to repair my granddaughter's Bible. It's easy to use, and a little goes a long way. I poured just a little into a ramekin and used a small paint brush to apply the glue not only to the binding, but also to some torn pages. It applies smoothly and dries quickly. That being said, I always put wax paper next to any part of the book I have glued and leave it there for a day or so just to be sure the glue does not cause one page to stick to another inadvertently.

I've used this glue for years in my junk journal making. I have found it works great paper to paper...and cloth to paper. I use i to reinforce washi tape. I have purchased small bottles with a needle applicator for precise gluing. I live in Minnesota and do not recommend ordering this in the winter; if it freezes the glue is ruined.
