I love my cabinet... now that it's put together. The machine lift was easy to install, and appears to work well. Something that should be obvious from the pictures but didn't really hit until it was all together was that the two sections of the cabinet top have to be out and on the lower doors when using it, they do not fold all the way over to hang flush with the side - like the quilt leaf does. Not a huge deal, but I'll more than likely take the large section off completely since having the tabletop off on the right side is less important to me than having my design wall which would be behind it, free of the obstruction. The smaller section on the left, is useful and will stay. I found that the pictures in the instructions left a lot to be desired. There are a number of places where I had to look through the various steps to find details that aren't involved in the current one, but help with making sure that you're actually placing a piece correctly when it would work facing or turned differently. I also had to rely on the video more than once because of the lack of detail. If you have an electric drill I highly recommend that you have it handy as well as the a bit to make pilot holes for the (what felt like) 1000's of screws that only had a small divit to indicate where they go. it took a lot of time to drive those screws in without one. I'd also recommend that you have someone to help. Being particle board, the pieces are heavy, and you often have to hold one piece while driving in all those screws. Lastly, I'd recommend having a nice big place to lay out all the piece - and there are a lot. It took a quite a while to install all the cams, dowels and screws before any real assembly started and being able to spread everything out so you could work with them all as you go, is nice - you can stack things but there are a some pieces that you go back to more than once, and you'd end up shuffling pieces.

The instructions were not accurate in several diagrams, but watching the U-Tube video several times helps.

Wouldn't recommend anyone buying this for the money. the craftsmanship is not good. Turned around and sold it. Didn't get my money out of it took a lost.

I bought this to protect my Janome 15000 - I have put a lot of furniture together this year and I figured this wouldn’t be any worse than what I have already done. Well, from unboxing to complete 6 hours - #1 the direction suck- the directions are complicated and not all the parts were labeled- #2 throw that dang flimsy wrench away and grab a real 9/16 that will save an hour in itself . All in all when I was done I felt accomplished and was too tired to try it out. 90% of it I was able to do alone , had hubby help hold a few things for me toward the end ( to help line up the doors ) the Janome does fit just have to use cation when using the lift - I’ll look into ordering the insert eventually-

i love the cabinet after my husband got it together. We, being senior citizens, needed to view the instructions more than one time. He had never dealt with cam screws before, so it took alot of patience and time for us to complete it. It is a very nice looking and solid cabinet. Still working on my sewing room. Looking forward very soon in using it. Iam very happy with it.

Instructions regarding the sewing machine lift could have been a bit clearer but otherwise good documentation. All parts bags well marked and each cabinet piece well marked. 6 hour assembly.

To be honest, I hesitated for a month to purchase this cabinet after reading the reviews regarding assembly. So glad I took the leap and purchased this. I'm a 64-year-old female that lives alone. I assembled this cabinet in about 9 hours completely by myself. I was very cautious and followed the video along with the printed instructions. On top of that, my cordless drill decided to stop working on the very first cam bolt, so I did the entire assembly with a ratchet screwdriver. Everything fits together perfectly, doors are level, and I absolutely love this cabinet! You won't regret this purchase.
