Nice, compact grill. Perfect for my small patio. I placed it on top of the Cuisinart grill table, which will be ideal once I add non-slip pads under the legs. I’ve used it several times. I think the “seasoning” of the stainless steel grates is a good thing for that char flavor. As others mentioned, this thing runs hot. No problem if you’re cooking meat, veggies, fruit, or pizza/flatbreads on a stone.

Got this during their Spring sale to replace our portable Coleman grill that broke, and I’m so glad I did! This is my first time using a tabletop grill and I actually love it. With a small yard, I really don’t like leaving things out when they’re not in use, so the compact size is perfect. I also love that I can take it to the beach or camping if I want. It’s great knowing I can build a nice built‑in tabletop or outdoor kitchen setup someday and just place this right on top. The stainless steel look is clean and modern — definitely happy we went with that option. We’re a small family of two, and we meal prep a full week of food on this with no problem. It also works for a small gathering. Overall, a solid, versatile grill that fits so many needs.

I absolutely love this BBQ. I used to use one of the tiny Weber Smokey Joe charcoal grills- largely due to the price. I always wanted a propane grill as I do not actually really enjoy cooking (wanted the convenience of propane), but despite being quite frugal I do not like purchasing "cheap" items. In other words, while I wanted a propane grill really bad, I knew without spending something like $400+ I was going to get a poor quality one, and I wasn't willing to spend that much. This is why the Smokey Joe was so great, it was only $40 but you were getting a true quality charcoal grill. Anyway, I finally bit the bullet when I found this puppy. Sure it is smaller, and does not have a stand, but the reviews, and my time with the grill thus far, shows it blows the full size ones in this price range away. With this unit you are not getting cheap garbage that is going to fall apart, warp, refuse to hold heat, be uneven, etc. etc. SIZE I have not had the grill more than a couple months, but used it very extensively in this time. I cannot speak to the longevity of course but so far nothing has given me any reason to doubt it. Everything appears to be good quality stainless steel, the unit is lightweight which is great for portability but not as ideal for tabletop (if you are going to get aggressive with brushes or similar, hold on to it!). This is sort of a no brainer so I am not docking it for this. The grilling surface is smaller of course than a full-size, but with the nearly edge-to-edge grilling surface it is plenty big. I tend to cook for smaller groups but I do not think you would have a hard time grilling for a family of four on this at all (unless your planning on grilling every piece of the meal). QUALITY As mentioned have no qualms with the quality, and no doubt about the longevity. I would definitely recommend purchasing a cover. Note, I believe "technically" the Cuisinart cover sold does not fit this unit. However, I risked it and it does fit. The velcro does not connect to hold the cover on tight, but I have had zero problems (and with a little extra velcro you could make it secure). GRILLING I do not really enjoy cooking (just takes so much time!) so I am not the most authoritative author on this matter. However, nothing (whether from my use or reviews online) gives me any reason to doubt this awesome little unit. This is one of the main reasons I bought this unit, dual-burner with good BTU output... I'd take this any day over one of those full size units you get at any big-box store in this price range. OTHER POINTS - As mentioned above the Cuisinart cover does fit, just not securely (add some velcro and I think it would) [See amazon item: Cuisinart CGC-21 All-Foods Gas Grill Cover]. - The BBQ comes with a full size propane hose, I purchased the Cuisinart 4-foot LP hose as a "commonly purchased with" recommendation, was unnecessary and I had to return it. The unit will work out of the box with a full size propane tank, anything different would require an adapter. - While the grill and burner covers are technically dishwasher safe (I think), it just doesn't really work that way. Maybe if you washed them after every use but as with all BBQs things get caked on and they don't just wash off nicely. I did once, now I just stick to the brush and/or foil to keep it clean (foil to scrub the grill to avoid risk of brush hairs getting in your food). - While 99.9% of users won't care... I put this on my ground-floor patio for my condo, so I was concerned about theft. There is a small area by the hose where I was able to thread a thin security cable through to secure the BBQ to my table and tank (if someone wants to haul all three off they deserve them). ALL IN ALL... I find myself using this thing more than my stove now. In fact unless it's something I would just feel foolish using a BBQ for (like scrambled eggs?) then it goes on the grill. I purchased a little wok and even do my veggies on the grill now instead of the stove.

First, the "something you need to know": The ignition mechanism works very well, always on one click (in my experience). However, when I first fired up the grill, I didn't understand the mechanism. There's a little blow-torch that is electrically ignited, which lights the burner. Pressing in on the knob is what sends gas to the little torch, which makes a "whooshing" noise. Then when you let the knob back out, the "whooshing" stops, and you can't see any flame. So you think, "Oh no! This fancy grill doesn't work!" HOWEVER, the flame is there. It's simply quiet and colorless. You might see it at night, but not by day. You will know your burner is lit, because heat will rise up. With that out of the way... Yeah, every piece of this grill is stainless steel! That's why I bought it as the replacement to my rusted-out, ubiquitous stainless-top patio grill. I had taken the previous grill as far as it could go, even replacing the burners, flame tamers, and bottom pan with stainless parts. However, the body of the grill was rusting to pieces. Enough of rusty grills! I like that the grate is substantial and will hold some heat. I've only used it for grilling burgers so far, but it seems to work fine. The grill puts out substantial heat, and the heat distribution is surprisingly uniform. I was able to fill the grill with hamburger patties and cook them in a fairly strong, cold breeze. I don't know that my old grill would have gotten hot enough. The thermometer at the top of the Cuisinart grill registered 400 degF, despite the cold wind and the grill being completely loaded. The patties cooked quickly and evenly. Cleanup is easy. You can literally set this grill in the yard and hose it out. We are keeping this grill on the top of a patio serving cart, so that we can roll it around on our deck. The propane bottle fits in the shelf on the bottom. The only con is a minor one: There's not a great way to secure the propane hose, without stuffing it among burner hardware and ignition wires. If I ever have problems with this grill, I'll come back and write about it. This review was written March 24, 2024.

Overall, I’m glad I chose this grill. I’m a grilling newbie, so some of my comments will reflect my ignorance. FIRST IMPRESSIONS Out of the box the CGG-306 seemed bigger and heavier than I imagined. I wouldn’t want to lug it far from car to campsite. I wish the fold-out legs would lock into place, or at least have more resistance. They fold under way too easily while setting up. I used Coleman 16.4 oz. cylinders and Camco 59213 adapter for the test drive. Both burners started as advertised. I put the controls on high and lowered the lid. In less than five minutes the temperature gauge climbed to the maximum, way pass the highest temperature marking of 700 degrees. That made me nervous, so I dial back a quarter turn. Wanting to burn off any manufacturing residue, so I let it run for 20 minutes. I then turned the controls to the lowest setting. The reading only descended to 625 F. As many have noted, this grill burns hot. I then turned off the left control. The gauge descended to about 500 F. The grill’s surface did not seem dangerously hot except for the lid. The temperature under the grill felt only slightly warmer. The grill cooled down quickly after I turned the burners off. I could touch any part of it after 15-20 minutes. This grill will discolor quickly and scratches and dents easily. It will look decidedly lived in in no time. What the heck, it’s a grill not a piece of furniture. FIRST COOK I roasted vegetables and grilled hot dogs for my first cook. The wind was variable around 5 mph, gusting to maybe 15 mph. The grill was facing north. The vegetables were in Yukon Glory 3-Piece Mini BBQ baskets (excellent product) because the distance between grill bars is a half inch. I started with both burners turned on three quarters. I had to keep peeking to be sure the wind had not blown out a burner, which kept the cooking temperature lower than I wanted. Lesson: keep the lid down dummy. One burner blew out after about a half hour of cooking. I shut both down and waited for gas fumes to dissipate. Happened again about 15 minutes later. I pointed the grill west, thinking too much wind was coming in the back vent. A wind gust blew a burner out again after about 10 minutes. I expected wind to be a factor in the grill’s performance, but at much higher speeds. One possible factor could be that the propane cylinder was getting low. If not, this could be a real limitation. I will update after my larger propane cylinder arrives. With the exception of the wind, I am pleased how the grill performed. I liked the big grilling surface. Food browned appropriately. Avoid the exceptionally hot areas directly above the ends of the flame tamers.

Had really high hopes for this grill but it just didn’t work out first issue no spark okay no problem fine can work around that . nope more problems and I’m not even a whole day in with the grill. First off a finger print magnet and strong chemical smell from it when finally got it up to temp it’s to the point it was burning my nose and haven’t even put anything on the grill yet just getting it to temp don’t trust putting my food on that for my family even after whip down with some onions and just water same issue. But okay another issue it has dang leak in the hose like who does the quality check on these grills but it was finally straw had no choice but to get rid of it. It’s the perfect size for our little patio area and very portable and I was even looking a covers for it thank god I didn’t waste any more money on this nice lil grill. But looks nice just lack quality and for something that cost 168 plus tax and 181 after all said and done I at less except good quality. But Amazon rep did make effort to try and have them replace or repair the grill I said h*** no but I looked up your reviews outside Amazon and other customers have the same problem. Just do your research but if was to give it another chance I would but work on that price cause that drives value for me. You buy cheap you get what you pay for and this wasn’t that cheap so I expect more. But yeah that’s my review. It might be a one of for me but hope other buyers have better luck then me. Still gave them 3 stars so it wasn’t that bad but not for my family. Also side note everying for packaging was great no damaged on box but mostly differently defective unit.

This is a very good bbq all stainless means no rust. Loys of surface area to bbq on I added a SS grill plate and shishkabob rack, they fit perfectly. Heats up fast and is easily made portable with the locking lid.

Great little BBQ! Love that it’s portable, no paint, good brand name, fits 6 large skinless/boneless chicken breast, or 3 generous sized steaks easily. Even cooking, no cold/hot spots. Cleans up easily. Drip tray is larger than the large 8-Burner BBQ I had. And especially love that it takes a regular sized propane tank. Also, it will be very easy to store away in the shed for the winter. Very pleased.
