I saw someone cooking with this online and I decided to grab it. It is sweet and it’s a really nice kind of light sesame flavor. To my dishes. It is very sticky. Definitely seems high-quality. The color is like a dark amber.. The smell is pretty faint and I feel like it was sealed pretty well when I got it.

Southerners should never be without Rice Syrup! This makes the absolute best candies yams, a little butter and rice syrup is all you need! Add this to sweeten anything from tea to soups. It makes terrific candies as well. Truly versatile in the kitchen, and not hard to make as well.

I am on my second bottle and use this for adding sweetness to soups and teas. Most recently, I discovered that it is great for adding to makgeolli. It is hard to mix with cold liquids, so you may have to dilute it a small bit in warm/hot water to make it less viscous. I added it after it was finished, but we may try adding it in at the beginning, during mixing.
