Tangerine peel

Looking for a product that infuses true orange flavor into water or tea has been a long, frustrating trip. This product is unadulterated dried citrus peel and adds a pleasant orange/tangerine flavor to tea without a metallic twang or sugar as in some other orange-infusing products. If you have patience to infuse overnight, you get a very nice and noticeable flavor in cold water. For hot tea, 4 min steeping is fine. If you are looking for an orange flavor for baked goods, this probably isn’t it. (Caveat: I haven’t actually ground up the dried strips and tried them in scones, but they might be a little tough for that. ??). Update: I love this product! I’ve now ground and chopped the dried strips to use in baked goods, and they work great for this. They alone won’t give you a strong orange flavour, but they do enhance when you have added juice. We also use these now for adding to tea. They add a nice, natural orange flavour. I have read the review alleging bugs in the product. I examined mine—no bugs, but I decided to let my packs spend the night in the freezer anyway. No worries. Now my only quibble is that the package is hard to open.

I steeped some peels alone for a tea and it was so delicious. I can tell these peels will be a nice addition to other drinks or teas to add a pleasant citrus sweetness. I am most excited to use these to make some orange cake and some orange vanilla scones though. The drying process can make the peel even more intense and vibrant in a baking application. Perhaps I'll grind some with herbs to season some shrimp or other seafood! I love multi-use products and there is so many ways to use this product. The flavor and just the aroma is so good! Brewing the tea had a bonus effect as a sort of potpourri making my house smell incredible still into the next morning. Love this product and I highly recommend it!

This set of dried orange peel arrived quickly and well packaged. The set includes 2 large jars filled to the top with dried orange peel. There are safety seals on the inside of the jars to ensure freshness. The lids are a little awkward to take on/off but not impossible. To rehydrate the orange peels you let them sit in boiling water for 3-5 minutes, or you can add them to various different hot drinks or into various recipes when cooking or baking. When rehydrated it did have good flavor and tasted fresh. I added some to my tea and was pleased with the flavor it added. The price point for the set is affordable when compared to other similar products. Overall, this is a great option for those looking to add orange peel to various recipes or drinks. Would recommend.

This comes with 200g of dried orange peel in 2 containers. The peels have citrus flavor and good aroma, they are mildly sweet, there's a hint of bitterness but not too much. They are great to add to red bean sweet soup and tea. The only thing I don't like about them is the containers they come in. The containers are square shape but you need to be twisted and turned like a round containers, which make them very difficult to open the first time. Either make them round or have a flip top so they are easy to use.

The order includes two packs of orange peel. The quality of the orange peel is pretty good. There is a nice aroma when I opened the bottle. I use it to cook Asian dishes such as orange chicken most of the time. Occasionally I would make a cup of tea with it. The bottle however is made of a poor quality soft plastic that is very thin. I had a hard time opening the bottle too because the way how it’s closed.
