BlueParrott B650-XT Bluetooth Headset

Update after 30 days started having functional issues, would turn off or volume all the way down on its own, tried doing an update, will not update, been in contact with manufacturer they acknowledge issues with firmware updates, with iPhones, keep wanting me to use an android phone to update, would not recommend until they fix the issues. Have bought several over the past few years and this is great quality in sound on both sides

Extremely disappointed with the BlueParrott B650-XT. It constantly disconnects or turns off in the middle of phone calls, which makes it incredibly frustrating and unreliable to use. The maximum volume is also terrible, even turned all the way up, it can still be difficult to hear. I reached out to BlueParrott customer service because I thought maybe I had received a defective headset. It has now been two weeks and I still haven’t received a response. For the price, I expected much better quality and customer support. Poor performance, poor customer service, and definitely not worth the money. Save yourself the hassle and get the BlueParrott 450 instead.

I think they can do better. I would get something else if I could do it over again. The side buttons should be on the out facing side so accidental pressing doesn't occur. The app and headset should work better with each other. Almost no point in having the app.

I can’t hear the audio notifications from the device, it’s very low volume. You can’t adjust it. The call volume is ok, the noise cancellation is great. Sometimes when I push to answer a call it doesn’t answer. If you tell it to answer you have to repeat it louder and louder. I’ve had many BP’s over the years. I’ve had to return them from time to time. Like I said, often you get a bad unit.

I’ve been using Blue parrot 450XT headsets since 2019. More than happy with them, but they broke from heavy use, totally acceptable for the abuse. I decided to upgrade to the B650-XT thinking more was better. I was completely wrong, immediately I noticed the max volume was way too low, you can play with the NC settings to make it a bit easier to hear but not much. Then I started having it call the last number randomly while it was hanging in the cab with no touching the phone or headset. Calling people at 5am for no reason is unacceptable. Support said to reset factory settings and repair Bluetooth… didn’t work. When you press the button to activate Siri, there is a 3-5 second delay before the mic turns on, so Siri only hears the last word or two of the command. When you receive a call and the internal voice command announces the caller, you can’t answer the call until it’s done speaking, if you hit it again, it will disconnect. Overall this headset is infuriating, the whole point of a headset is to free you to communicate AND operate a CDL vehicle without distraction from the operating of the vehicle. I just bought my 3rd B450-XT headset, low and behold, it works perfectly, loud speaker, instant mic activation with Siri and it hasn’t called a single person without my input. That was the longest review I’ve ever written, but I’m amazed with how many problems I’ve had with this headset, $300 wasted and I had to buy another $120 B450-XT. Jabra failed hard with this one.

Bought the 650XT for my husband who is a truck driver. Its constantly dropping calls, he has to manually reconnect all the time. Claims it has a longer connectivity range but he cant even get to the back of his truck and its dropping the call. If he leaves the truck with his phone in his pocket and without the headset he has to manually reconnect it. And thats even when he isnt out of range or gone for longer than a couple minutes.

Not as good as my old 450 was. Not enough volume
