Used this for my Spike Conical
I use a cooling coil and pump with my 5 gallon Spike Brewing conical, and I was having trouble keeping it at temperature with a bucket of glycol in my freezer. I wanted to avoid spending nearly a grand on a glycol chiller, and I didn't want to spend a few hundred on a AC glycol chiller build either. With my Spike Conical in this insulator, all the temperature control issues went away. I can crash down to 35 degrees no problem, and I was surprised how well it fit.

Works as described in the description
Use this with my FastFerment conical fermenter. Itโs been in the triple digits outside, so ferment inside where itโs 73 degrees. I started out using two 2 liter bottles of frozen water, and after the first day stayed with just one. Itโs controlled the fermentation temperature at 69 to 71 degrees, changing the bottle out every 12 hours. Works good enough that I just purchased my second conical fermenter and insulation blanket.

Insulating capability is excellent
I tried to wrap my FastFermenter on a stand with the blanket. It appears well made and highly detailed, HOWEVER, the inside insulation is sewn so close to the zipper that when zipping it closed it jams and the portion that was zipped becomes unzipped. At this point it's unzipped on both sides and the sole remedy is to carefully unzip the blanket until the zipper is engaged then to try to zip it again. Repeat the process, repeat etc. I never did get it totally closed.

It fit what it was made for.
Well made & fast delivery.

Works, but not quite ready for prime time
Using it right now on a lager. It works, but just doesn't 'feel' right around my fastfermenter. The pre-made holes are awkward to line up with top bubbler and with temp gauge. There's velcro along whole zipper to help seal it up, but honestly, having so much velcro becomes a nuisance. You're fiddling with the zipper and nudging things, wondering if you're messing up the seal. I do like it and I am going to use it again, but the whole setup just feels kind of rickety. If I could talk to the designers, I'd ask them for some simple sort of frame to go inside -> maybe I'll make a little 1" pvc skeleton to stick in there

This held the temperature pretty well
I almost lost a batch of beer to my Nest thermostat. We were having unseasonably warm temperatures and I keep my fermenter downstairs where there are no bedrooms and the Nest thermostat kept letting it get too warm over night. It didn't kill the yeast, but it must have been at the top edge of the Yeast's temperature range because the fermentation was so aggressive that it needed a blow off tube even though it was a normal gravity beer. I got one of these insulated fermenter jackets, a thermowell to keep an eye on the temperature and some frozen 2 liters. Granted, the weather was much cooler the next time around, but this kept the fermenter 10 degrees below room temperature. There was very little fluctuation unless I opened it and added or removed ice. This is an inexpensive way to control fermentation temperature until I can get thermo-controlled chest freezer or something.

Fits great, works as you'd expect
Fits great, works as you'd expect. I put a seedling heater mat in the bottom with a temp controller and is able to keep 68 degree temp without an issue in my 55 degree basement. I bought two of these. I use them with the FastFerment floor stand and fits great.

Awesome for ales, lacking for lagers.
Overall, this is an excellent product and I'm happy with it. However, I have not gotten it down to lager temperatures no matter how many frozen 2L bottles I put in it. I have 8 2L bottles in there now and my brew is at 62 degrees in a room with 70 degrees ambient temp, with swapping out half of the bottles daily. Getting fermenter temperatures in the 60's is no problem and that is great for ales, but I'll be doing my lagers some other way. The jacket is well made of good materials including a good zipper and I expect that it'll last a long time.

Bought this to use with a standard fermentation bucket rather than FastFerment vessel. Its overly large for the purpose - could probably fit a pressure barrel in there too. But the main point is that the idea works really well. I don't believe there are any other similar solutions on the market either. By daily swapping out of plastic bottles of frozen water I have been able to keep the temperature of my last 2 home brew beer batches to an optimum level despite an ambient temperature in the room of around 26 degrees.

This is a pretty good unit. It is fairly well insulated and will block out the light from the fastfermenter. I like that the company thought through all the ways to mount the unit and made the necessary holes for it in the bag. Well thought out for sure! The only things I don't like are the bulky insulation around the zipper (for hestloss I know) but makes it annoying to zip open and closed. I also saw some.ofnthe stitching being stressed when zipping it closed and hope it won't be a future point of weakness. Otherwise it seems like a quality bag.

Excellent, easy to use and fits the fastferment perfectly, add a frozen bottle when hot or a small hot water bottle when cold.

These are taller than I thought, but work perfectly allowing me to keep the temperature isolated from the room reality. When my wine was starting to ferment the temperature shot up towards 80 degrees, so these allow me to slow that process a little. I add bottled ice to cool things down as much as I needed. One little container easily cools the wine down to lower <70 if required. I read whites should ferment slower to keep more flavour/fruity smells; if it ferments rapidly the process can be pretty fast. I was told most people have the opposite problem; keeping the fermentation going due to possible basements being cooler, but this would work either way to insulate from either the heat or cold. Either way, very happy with the product, does exactly what I needed, allowing me to control the environment better during and after fermentation... as an apartment dweller, without a cool basement storage area during the wine making process.
