Oversized Beach Straw Hat for Women, Wide Brim Floppy Sun Hat for Summer

Amazing! I got this for Renn Faire because I’m currently on accutane and the sun coverage was UNREAL. it easily and comfortably covered my shoulders, chest, and back. The brim is decently adjustable as well, so I was able to flip it up when needed or move it out of the way and keep it out of the way if I was in a tight space. I got so many compliments, too! The reviews mentioning the fact it came folded were definitely accurate, but since I was putting it in my suitcase, I didn’t bother to iron the wrinkles out. I don’t think it took away from the look.

Ooo la la... C'est moi...? Qui qui... Mon Cheri... That's the extent of my high school French but I LOVE THIS HAT! Fantastic price, nice materials and most importantly - good fit for someone who has a big head (both literally & figuratively). But seriously, I do have a large head and having researched a lot of extra large brim, straw, floppy hats quite a few fell around 22-22.3" head circumference whereas my size falls def. around 23". This hat has a tiny bit of stretch so if it's a bit snug at first keep wearing and stretch it out (much like you do w/ leather shoes). Perfect fit. Also, measure your head before purchase. You can google 'How to measure my hat size' but I'll help ya out. Take a soft measuring tape and wrap it around your head making sure the tape lies above your ears and comes up slightly to your forehead. I measured a good 23" (I think this one had a range of 22-22.9"). I thought 'good enough' and I was right! Happy. Style? This hat is reminiscent of early (1920s-1950's) 20th century French Riviera/Isle of classic European fashion. Tres chic (there's that high school French cropping up again!). Timeless style. I will say this hat requires a LOT of confidence to wear and if you're a wallflower then may I kindly suggest you seek therapy to learn how to build up your confidence and 'work it'. This hat will turn heads (especially big ones! Like mine!). Another bonus? Pret-a-porter. French for 'ready to wear'. You can easily travel with this hat. You can fold it up and use the steam option on an iron to flatten out OR if traveling hang it in the shower w/ really hot water running. Maybe you want to escape to the Canary Islands? Hola senorita! Muy de moda! Finally. My purpose for buying this hat is to use it as wall decor. I'm redecorating my spare bedroom into this European island resort theme and this is going to be a central piece. So, whatever your intention, I highly recommend and have fun. Live it up. Livin' la vida loca (oh stop it with the foreign language references!!!!).

Wore this all day at ren faire and it kept me protected from the sun while looking dramatic and fabulous. Fit my big head perfectly. Came creased from being folded in the package but it ironed out with a damp towel between the hat and the iron.

This hat was nice and served its purpose of keeping the sun rays off of me. It has a super wide brim and is made of a light, not too heavy straw material so it doesn’t cause sweating. My only issue is that it was a little big, even with my braids. I had to hold it down to keep it from blowing off my head. Otherwise, perfect for my trip to Grenada.

This oversized sun hat is great. It’s nice and sturdy while being lightweight also. You can adjust it for the right coverage you’re looking for. Great buy for the price.

I love the hat. It is almost ridiculously big, but I am not a fan of the sun so therefore I think it’s fabulous.

Hat as advertised other than coming packaged all folded up and squashed. Even using an iron and iron/damp towel, I cannot get the creases out so it doesn't look nearly as good as the pics. Still it's big and plenty of shade. I'm a dude so the head part doesn't quite fill all the way over my head but that's okay. My suggestion is its adequate for a vacation or casual wear but definitely nothing formal like a garden wedding that I bought it for.

I owned this hat 3 yrs ago and have gifted it several times. I suggest you do not fold it. It has a wire to form the edges and it will get all bent if you mistreat it. It has a string inside to size the head portion proerly. Totally fashionable! Humongous. People will send compliments. Others may seek shelter under it!
