Fits nice and snug.

I’m renting a house and the garbage can didn’t have a lid, so I ordered this one and it fits perfectly. It’s a little stiff but it fits well. Make sure you look at the container size (usually on the lip of the container) or measure it b/c returns may not be free.

The ubiquitous Rubbermaid Brute trash cans are as heavy duty as they come and can be seen up and down America's streets on trash day. And yet, as seemingly indestructible as the cans are the lids are not nearly so. Inexplicably none of the big box stores that sell these cans sell the lids separately. Enter Amazon. Apparently Amazon has seen the obvious problem where others have not and has stepped in to offer the lids separately; and not generic after market lids but actual Rubbermaid Brute lids that fit the cans perfectly. Thank you Amazon for extending the life (lives) of my workhorse Brute trash can(s) for many more years of service.

On the pro side - the lid fits my 44gal can, which is at least 20 years old. It locks on like the old lid, so keeps all critters out, both mice and coons. Con - this is not the same, dense & sturdy rubber as the old lid. I won't be putting anything heavy on top.

Well made. Sturdy. What you would expect. A bit pricy, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I make orchid and plant mixes and need to store outside. Live in San Francisco and there is a lot of moisture to leave the mixes in bags. Brought two 30 gallon Rubber Maid containers and realized I needed the tops to seal the containers from the weather. These containers are a long term investment. They will weather the heat, cold and rain. These mixes are expensive to make and totally satisfied with the tops.

Nice lid. Well made and durable. It did not fit my 44 gallon Huskee trashcan, it's about 1/2 inch too big. So it does not lock. I'm keeping it anyway since the can sits in my garage and the wind won't blow it away.

I couldn't find these anywhere locally but thankfully Amazon had them and for only $12 bucks. Well made, fits my rubbermaid Brute bin perfectly and stays on. Highly recommend ... would buy it again.

Looks great on the yellow 10 gallon brute. Opening takes a little getting used to as the fit is quite snug.
