Google Nest Cam Weatherproof Cable for Nest Cam (Battery) Only - Snow - 10m

This official Google Nest cable is much more reliable, so far, than a third-party outdoor power wire + adapter that I ordered and failed within a month. I decided to pay a bit more and go with the official Google weatherproof power cord for the battery Nest Cam. I'm glad that I did. I get consistent power to my camera so I can run the camera and record 24/7, always visible and live on my docked Pixel tablet along with my other cameras. I also like that it uses a built-in plug rather than a USB-C cable and separate power adapter like many of the non-Google choices. This was a good, albeit more expensive choice. But I have faith in it, and will update if it fails.

The magnetic connection on the Google Nest Outdoor Camera is poor. The connections tarnish and become unreliable. Buying replacement lead didn’t solve the problem because the poor design is on the camera itself. Nothing wrong with the cable, athough a bit expensive.

I have 3 of my Google nest battery cameras on solar panels, 2 of them I haven't had to physically take down and charge for about 6 months bc of the awesome sun. The third one i thought well maybe the solar panel went kapooey, so I purchased another solar panel for it, no good I got a notification that my battery camera was low after 3 days. I was desperate bc I didn't want to have to switch cameras or go to other extremes. I was tired of having to get a stepstool, take down my camera, bring it inside charge it for about 2 hrs, take it back out , re mount it, over and over again about once a week. Uugh! I found this cable, read many reviews and pulled the trigger. I already had an existing hole drilled from a previous cable, so i was able to get the cable through that with much persistence to plug into a socket from inside my house. I've had it connected since June 15th 2026 with no problems whatsoever. The reason my solar panel wasn't able to keep up with the charge was due to sooo much activity in front of my house. Vehicles mainly! I am very pleased with this product so far and hopefully it continues to do its job. Absolutely recommend 👌 👍 Oh, BTW I ordered the 10m and it was plenty long enough, I probably could've orde the shorter length but figured i couldn't go wrong with it being longer.

The Google Nest Cam Weatherproof Cable for Nest Cam (Battery) Only has proven its mettle in keeping my outdoor surveillance in top form regardless of the elements. However, the cost factor brought a rain shower on my parade. While I appreciate the cable's durability and performance, the price tag seemed to create a storm in my budget forecast. The investment in quality is evident, but the financial downpour left me questioning if weatherproofing should come at such a high cost. In summary, 3 stars for a cable that weathers the storm but left my wallet in need of some shelter. If you're prepared for the price precipitation, this cable ensures your Nest Cam stays vigilant through rain or shine. ☔💸🌟

Good quality cable you should expect from Google however came with a USA plug so a bit pointless for the UK market. This should have been mentioned in the description so I am able to make an informed choice to purchase a UK converted with it. Would be 5 stars if fitted with a UK plug for the UK market!
