Dalstrong 7" Ulu Rocking Mincing Knife - 5CR15MOV Steel

I got this for my husband several years ago as a birthday present and it’s one on our favorite additions to our kitchen knife collection. We use it to cut meat up for our toddlers, it works great to cut pizza and anything else you can think of. We’ve only had to sharpen it once in all the time we’ve had it. The handle fits my great and it’s a nice weight. We put it in the dishwasher on the top rack and it’s still holding up amazingly.

Been using a month for most things I cut in kitchen. Used my last ulu to cut/slice almost everything, but lost it during a move. Really missed it a lot and OMG almost forgot how fantastic this brand and model is! Came from box in perfect condition as usual - very clean and extremely sharp. Has a hefty weight that’s distributed so evenly it feels powerful in the hand, yet slices through everything so easily and fast it prevents hand/wrist fatigue. Using an ulu takes practice if you’re not used to them, but once learned, I consider them easiest knife to use for so many things. When cleaning this one first before using it, I promptly sliced a finger because I forgot how sharp and evenly weighted they are! LOL. So be very careful opening and cleaning it. The sheath is perfect, safe and durable. I love the simple, elegant packaging in which you can store ulu between uses if you want, but only after cleaning it properly and air drying completely.

I had never in my life seen a blade like this!! So of course I researched everything about it prior to purchasing it, to me, it was just so unique, and I really wanted to try an ULU once my research was complete, and there are tons of them here on Amazon, but I am a diehard Dalstrong person when I can afford to be, and if I am going to try ANY type of new or unique knife, I will go straight to Dalstrong! To be honest, I wasn't too happy at first with it, I felt as if I were chasing herbs all over my cutting board, then a friend told me I needed to get a cutting board "bowl", well that was another problem since most of those come WITH the knife, but I found a fantastic one here and purchased it (board only), and now I use my ulu knife regularly, it works so well, before I knew it I had chopped up all of my herbs within minutes!! I love this knife!

A very well built rocker cutter. Nice and heavy built i like it. Sharp too. I make Homemade Cheesecakes and I use this rocker cutter to cut up to the edges of the Cheesecakes.

Great ULU! MY father loved his gift and the way it fit in his had. He can't what to use it on a few projects!

I like it, it's a nice design and the blade seems to be of good quality while also being sharp. The sheath fits and functions as it should. The downside is the blade will rattle a little when you shake it by the handle. I was under the impression that the blade and piece between the riveted "handle" was all one piece, especially at this price point, but it is obviously not. So minus the rivets holding it all together it is apparently 4 pieces and not just 3, as in 1 solid piece riveted in-between 2 handle pieces, and for that it doesn't deserve 5 stars. Perhaps 4.5 if it were about $20-$30 less. That's because it does rattle the blade "only", when shaking your wrist while holding it normally. I use this mainly as a pizza cutter, as I'm tired of the corrosion or blades falling off of cheap handles. I will be keeping this blade and hopefully it'll last for a long time.

Sharp out of the box. I have never used a Ulu knife. I thought it might be a little awkward but it was the total opposite. Easy to use. Makes chopping easy.

La caja llego dañada pero en su interior no fue daño del envió, la funda del cuchillo llego rota y el cuchillo en la navaja tiene una especie de juego como si estuviera flojo y supongo que no es normal, decepcionado de la marca por la verdad, esperaba mas. No hago devolución solo porque es mucho problema con mi banco pero quisiera y no me da la opcion de reposición

My partner was interested in a knife of this shape for skinning and butchering our lambs. She's absolutely giddy with this thing. Seems very good quality, holds an edge well and fits the hand nicely. I've got much larger hands than her and we both find it equally comfortable. Would highly recommend.

I have small hands and the fit is great. Very sharp.
