Dill Seed Tin

I make pickles for sale at a our local Farmer's Market and need lots of dill seed for my recipes. It's the only herb I can't seem to grow myself, so I have to buy the seeds. This is a much better value than the little bottles you pick up at the store. The flavor is not real strong, but you can use a little more without breaking the bank.

I use dill seeds alot. These are very nice, well-formed, uniform shape and size. The tin is the real treasure, and will be re-used as a "vintage" spice tin.

What I disliked about this batch of dill seed was that the seed is very small and not plump at all. I will go back to McCormick for my dill seed to use in a homemade yeast bread. The bread is special and deserves a decent helping of dill seed. I won’t be using this dill seed at all especially because of the tiny debris mixed in with the tiny seed. A waste of money. Glad it was only 7 dollars wasted.

I used for canning pickles at home. They worked well.

I was so glad to see that Amazon had this. The grocery stores that I shop , they didn't even carry it. I use it to put in my home baked bread. Yummy

I have not used these seeds yet but I think they will be fine. If not, I will revise my review. I got these to use in my homemade refrigerated garlic dill pickles.

I made pickled okra.

The seeds arrived promptly and smelled very fresh. Love the little reusable tin!
