Outstanding Decaf, Rich & Creamy
TLDR: This is the best decaf I've had. I've been on a search for good decaf since I can only tolerate two cups of regular these days. I've narrowed the search to Swiss Water Method only. They say that chemical methods are perfectly safe. They also said that about cigarettes. Anyway, Swiss Water Method, Organic and Fair Trade in that order. Jo checks these boxes and has a rich, full body that I love. Smooth and creamy, just like the labels says. Low bitterness, although I don't mind a little bite. Excellent roast with no hint of burning. This is exceptional coffee. The other decaf's I've tried that meet my criteria: Costa Rica Decaf Tarrazu - This is also good stuff, just a little pricey. Almost as rich as Jo but not as smooth. Verena Street Sunday Drive - Another good choice. Light body, easy drinking. Not creamy. Not bitter. Organic Coffee Co. Gorilla & Hurricane - Hurricane is the better. Medium body, a little bitter. My previous go-to. San Francisco Bay Decaf Espresso Roast - Great for the price, just not exciting. Decent all-arounder. Kicking Horse Decaf - My first go with this last year was fantastic. They seem to have changed sources or roasting methods because the last two batches were slightly burnt and pretty bitter. Shame.

This is my goto coffee!
Decaf, for me, usually tastes less flavorful, especially when the healthier water process is involved. I do use my bold setting on my coffee maker, but it tastes just like regular coffee to me. I enjoy more than one cup and my adrenals pay the price unless I drink decaf, or stick to one cup of regular. I like being able to drink a few cups and not have jitters.

A great decaf 👍🏼
This is a great decaf! I grind it for pour overs and it’s very smooth. I find it neutral, not too bitter or acidic.

Nice substitute for real coffee
Taste is pretty good I do have to use some extra to get a stronger flavor.

My #1 decaf
I went through a LOT of decaf coffees looking for the right one to make my own half-caf blend. I thought I had a winner with No Fun Jo, right behind Peet's Major Dickansons, until I tried this. It beats them both. My preference is a dark-to-medium-dark roast, brewed strong. Peruvian, Brazilian, and Cuban/Puerto Rican seem to be my main wheelhouse. If any of that sounds good to you then definitely try it. It's on the lighter side of what I just mentioned, but it pairs beautifully.

Fresh but I didn’t love the flavor
This just wasn’t my cup of Joe. I gave it to someone who adds so much stuff to the coffee that the flavir doesn’t matter. If I don’t enjoy it black. I pass it on.
