Excellent DEAL!
This was a 10 min job to replace an expired PLC1400C on our system. Sure, it was the newer version and looks exactly the same. So here's what makes this an AWESOME bargain. A year ago, I had to buy the sensor separate. That was $170 alone AND they've changed the design to a newer non-daughter card interface. The new sensor has worked great. This package comes with that new sensor. So in essence, you're getting a salt cell for ~$330. Folks, that's a steal. AND I have a spare sensor for when the replacement goes out (they go out after about 3 years FYI). So nice not to have to pay for chlorine, I absolutely have no regrets despite the limited life. But considering paying $100 a bucket for chlorine that MIGHT last 3-4 mos, this pays for itself easily and salt is so much easier on skin. Read the instructions though. Be careful when adding salt. That's what killed my previous cell. FYI: the sensor is not whats shown, it's the newer version with a little control box thing, the one Jandy now sells/recommends. Pool "professionals" wanted $800 for the cell alone, I shutter to think of the labor and total bill if I'd gone that way.

Direct Replacement for Zodiac Nature Fusion Soft 1400 Salt Cell
Instead of replacing the chlorine generating salt cell as I did once before, I decided to replace the whole unit. This fit in line perfectly where the old Zodiac unit was. I had error codes 120, 124, and 194 on a cell that was 2 years old. The error codes suggested that maybe the cables were bad. They were not, but now I have spare cables just in case. Easy to hook this up. My entire set up is now 8 years old and the controller/power pack are still good. It was only the salt cell that was bad. That salt cell may have been from a questionable source. This is from Jandy so it gives me confidence it will last long like my original one. I also now have a spare set of universal fittings, since the original fittings are the same and I did not need the new ones. One of my original fittings was a little more difficult to screw back on - which I am assuming is due to some warping with age.

Perfect Replacement for Original Equipment. "Plug and Play" product!!
Perfect replacement for original equipment. Item arrived promptly (on Saturday, since I'm an Amazon Prime Customer!) The unit comes with comprehensive, easy to understand instructions and since this was being used to replace existing equipment, the salt cell and sensor/small circuit board assembly literally "dropped into place". It took me longer to cut the old zip ties/cable ties and re-route the cables than it did to replace the actual components. Take your time, follow the instructions and you'll be fine. As soon as I turned on the equipment, the cell calibrated itself, and the filtration system started to behave like it did on Day One when we had the pool installed! No errors, chlorine is at the proper levels and there is a constant "FLOW" reading even at low pump speeds. Amazon had the best price by far, and with such fast shipping, this was a happy event!!

The Jury is Still Out
My first cell was the two-port type and lasted 6 years before failing. I replaced it with the PLC1400 3-port cell, which has lasted only two years. Just last week, the middle pin on the cell began burning...by the time I was able to turn the power off, the cord plug had basically melted. Bought this cell just last week, and was looking forward to a very simple replacement. Got it in, everything seemed okay...just wasn't making any chloring. Left it on boost overnight, and even after the first 12 hours still had basically zero chlorine. Went through the troubleshooting checks, and all of the voltages are where they should be...this would eliminate any board, transformer, cord problems. Starting to wonder if the cell itself is bad. Forgot to mention that the unit is not giving me any error codes...everything seems normal except for the lac of chlorine. I plan on returning the cell, and hopefully a replacement will work. If not, I'm dumping the Jandy/Zodiac junk and going to a different system, or just resort to granular chlorine...less hassle. UPDATE: Started over by disconnecting everything and then re-installing. Upon startup, the service light flashed briefly before going out, and all lights once again were green to go. But this time, just before the service light went out, I noticed error code 180 (heated sensor element not heating) which indicated a problem with the new flow sensor. I replaced the sensor with the one that I had saved from the cell that had failed, and the unit is now making chlorine. Not sure if I'm stuck or not...since the sensor came with the cell kit, will Jandy/Zodiac replace the sensor only, or would I need to return the entire kit? Now that I know the cell is working, I'd hate to remove and return it for possibly another unit that may have other problems of its own. For an expensive piece of equipment, their quality assurance needs to drastically improve...way too many folks with sensor problems. I'll bump up my rating to three stars. UPDATE: Jandy/Zodiac WILL NOT send me a replacement flow sensor...I would first need to make an appointment for an approved pool company to come out to my house and troubleshoot the system, even though I used an older flow sensor to get the system to work. Go figure. Of course, the pool company will charge me for a service call, then I would have to wait for replacement through Zodiac's warranty program. Decided to remove the cell and send the entire kit back to Amazon for a replacement. Leaving the ranking at a single star. UPDATE: Sent the cell kit back to Amazon, had the replacement in two days. Installed the cell and new sensor, and everything is now back to normal, shipped the defective kit back at Amazon's expense. This is why I shop primarily with Amazon...great customer service. Jandy/Zodiac could learn a lot from Amazon.

Excellent Replacement to the Nature 2 Fusion!
I purchased this set to replace a Zodiac Nature 2 Fusion Soft Salt Water Chlorinator. The Nature 2 was very prone to leaking and was giving me error codes 125 and 194, which a new salt cell would likely fix. I decided to purchase the AquaPure PLC1400 to cure the leaks and fix the errors. The AquaPure fit perfectly in the same place as the Nature 2 was, and without any modifications. I did not install the new DC cable or the flow sensor, as I had already replaced those last season. I now have those on hand just in case. It is so much cheaper than buying the sensor, cable and cell separately. With the AquaPure installed, I do not have any more leaks and the error codes are completely gone. My system is now generating chlorine, just in time for pool season. Hopefully this will last me many seasons.

Excellent price
Excellent product and as a complete assembly ready for full installation (nuts, end joints, โOโ rings and new temp sensor) a very competitive price. Did full installation and has been working โgreatโ.

No support from mfg.
I've had a Jandy cell on my pool for 20 years. They typically last 5 years. Last year I bought a third-party cell on Amazon and it only lasted 1 year. I decided to spend the extra money and bought this kit which included everything, the saltwater cell, DC cable and the flow cell. The unit would not generate chlorine because the flow cell was not detecting flow. Out of box failure. I reinstalled the exiting flow cell and it appears to be working properly. If I am able to do things around my house, I do them. That includes maintaining my pool and pool equipment. According to Zodiac, if their cells are not installed by a pool professional, there is no warranty. They won't even troubleshoot with you on the phone if you are not a pool professional, so I probably won't get a replacement flow cell to replace the defective one. When this cell dies, I may have to go a different route and choose another manufacturer.

Factory Replacement Kit . . . But There Are Things To Know
This Jandy or Zodiac salt cell replacement kit is the correct replacement and it comes with the correct items for installation included in the kit. It is boxed fairly well for shipment too and it shows the build date of the included equipment. The best part is that it arrived in 2 days on Amazon when my local pool builder and supplier did not have a PLC1400 in stock when my nearly 5 year old cell had reduced chlorinating here in the summer heat and needed replacement. But here is something you might want to keep in mind though. If something fails, as mine did, Amazon will replace the complete kit, and not the failed component as I found out. My new sensor supplied in this kit failed in about 2 weeks. While I have heard of issues with these sensors I have never had a bad one. The ones I have had installed lasted 4 years on the original one, and the one the technician took out when we replaced the salt cell with the new Amazon supplied one here had about a 16 months use since I installed it new with no issues. I happened to also have a new sensor in the box for that if I need one quickly time occurs. About 2 weeks after installing the new PLC1400 kit I got some sensor codes and called the tech back. I had also seen some incorrect temp readings too. We found the cell would not start correctly and we plugged in the sensor I had removed but still had handy. It showed no problems and started correctly. But I optioned to just install the brand new sensor I had previously purchased . The tech and I completed the job quickly and the pool is running fine. When I contacted Amazon on Monday to replace the failed sensor, their response was that they only will replace the complete kit. I wasn't about to take out a working cell and sensor. To be fair Amazon did offer to send the new kit first. But again there is no way was I about to pull anything working correctly out. I find this to be somewhat along the line of asking you to pull the engine out of your new car if your transmission is giving you trouble. Or your headlight. Especially given that Amazon also sells the sensor separately. As I wasn't about to remove the cell or sensor, Amazon did discount the kit some. You will see that the PLC 1400 kit is cheaper on Amazon than the salt cell alone and purchasing the sensor as an individual item. That is a plus for the system kit. I wasn't asking Amazon to give me anything, just to replace the sensor that I had to buy and supply to fix the faulty one I received. I am sure the sellers also return these for exchange to Jandy as well. While it did work out, I probably will purchase this type Jandy/ Zodiac parts from discount pool sellers on other sites because they complete their warranty in a different fashion such as just exchanging the malfunctioning sensor unit.

Easy replacement. Design upgraded.
Easy replacement for existing same model end-of-life salt cell. I considered replacing the whole system, but didn't feel like messing around with all the plumbing, and didn't see any enticing new features on new models, so went with easy. Cell size has not changed. The two black "universal connectors" shown in the picture unscrew from the cell, good because they are not needed for my plumbing. I had just replaced the sensor unit two years ago, so it would have been nice to buy the salt cell on its own, but oh well now I have an extra sensor unit. Interestingly, the new sensor unit that comes with this set is a new revision compared to two years ago: only two silver sensor pads (not three) on the sensor part (they must have combined a couple of parts inside), and instead of the extra mini interface board, there is now a weatherproof sealed interface unit that hangs below the control box. This set also comes with a replacement "union nut" for the control box, which is a little bit wider than the original one, to allow the sensor's electrical connector to pass through without having to twist it awkwardly. It is nice to see these improvements happening despite the years since first introduced. P.S. I have read many complaints about lifespan of the cell and the sensor unit. I haven't been the owner of this pool long enough to know, but I do know for sure that when a pool company was taking care of everything, they did NOT winterize properly. I fired them. Read the manual: This salt cell should be brought indoors over the winter. The sensor module is supposed to be removed and wrapped up to protect it from the weather, but I bring it indoors too -- easier and safer! So if you want your equipment to last, read the manuals and make sure you or your pool company follows the directions.

What a deal and so easy to install
Great replacement for my failed Cell. Package was on my doorstep 4 days after ordering with lots of padding inside the carton. Took me less than 10minutes to swap out the cell and my Error codes 94 & 125 gone. I didn't replace the sensor as it was only a few years old and in good working order so now I have a spare. Compared to what the local pool stores are asking ($1000+) and all other online stores that I could find this cell is a real deal. Don't hesitate if you need to replace your cell, you won't be disappointed. I'm not going to complain about Jandy or Zodiac as I'm writing this review based on the fact that I have the system installed and don't plan on changing it out anytime soon even though there are way better systems available.

Not exactly as shown.
Best price I could find for this item. I only replaced the sensor as the old cell was performing well. I will install the new cell next spring when I open the pool for the new season. Note to new buyer, be aware that the sensor wire of this new unit comes with an attached box (not displayed on picture). The box is appr. 2.5 in wide, 4 in high and .5 in deep. The old sensor wire was routed though a small hole in the shed as the control unit is located inside my shed. Had to open the wall to allow the new sensor wire with box to reach control centre.

Good purchase
Great replacement for my old knackered version. Piping is a little wider than the previous model so pool man had to adjust the fitting, which is annoying from Zodiac - why not keep standard dimensions? Works well.

Five Stars
Works great, new unit only has 2 sensor instead of 3. Took a few minutes extra to retrofit.
