COOL GEL Memory Foam 6-Inch Mattress, CertiPUR-US Certified, Mattress in a Box, Twin XL, White

When I purchased this mattress I wasn't left too much time to make a decision, my box spring imploded shortly before purchasing, lol! The entire box spring went, from the support beam to the coils coming undone, and busting through my foam bedding, all in one night, all with two moves of my body, lol! I didn't want another box spring and found these mattresses being advertised as 'toppers' to be used on top of your old foam mattress to give 'new life' to your older foam mattress. The idea intrigued me and I continued to research how I could accomplish. Since I like firm mattresses, I was unsure if buying online was the way to go, due to not being able to sample the mattress. However, quickly realized I could return. I looked for a platform bed, as it was suggested, due to not wanting another box spring for my foam mattress. I found the Zinus SmartBase 14 inch Platform Frame and purchased both the mattress and the platform frame. When I opened the mattress, I left to air out and expand on the guest bed for twenty-four hours, then put the frame together. By the next day, the chemical odor that was profound while opening the mattress had completely dissipated along with the mattress expanding the way it was advertised to do. The next day I put the mattress on top of my older foam mattress and new Zinus frame and laid down on the bed. I couldn't believe what I was feeling. Although I was up higher than I had been used to due to the platform frame and the two mattresses together, I felt perfectly comfortable in a seated position and while lying down. I have now had the mattress and platform bed for a few weeks and both have proved to be one of the best investments that I have made in bedding, to date. The neck pain that I was used to experiencing is gone completely! The soreness from having my back operated on, twice, in 2011, was completely gone! When I get in the bed at any time, my body sinks down to a perfect position to align with my entire body. Thereafter, I feel 'coolness'! I was amazed when feeling how cool the mattress is. My original foam mattress is very warm and has always been the only disappointment to me since purchasing. When I cover up if using covers that night, I turn to my side (side sleeper) and have not remembered falling asleep since buying these products! I close my eyes and the next thing I remember is waking up the next day. I have NEVER fallen asleep in this manner since I can remember falling asleep. I love the mattress. The mattress is firm, but not too firm. The mattress won't allow your entire body to 'sink in softness' as the bed isn't made to be 'squishy soft', the mattress is firm, however, the mattress does give to accommodate your weight. Although the mattress was left on the guest bed for twenty-four hours, the corners didn't expand to 6 inches, only 4 inches. I've read other reviews and customers have experienced the same issue. I can only guess the machine that flattens the mattress to fit in the small box the mattress comes in, is to blame. Since the corners don't interfere with the most comfortable sleep I have ever had in my life, I am more than willing to overlook. The mattress did expand to 6 inches everywhere else other than the corners. I like having the bed higher than what I am normally used to, although different, I have found this isn't something that bothers me. I like to watch television while in bed, and this actually assists with my eyesight being aligned with the television screen while in bed. I love the mattress and the comfort it provides. Due to the price I paid for both the mattress and the platform frame, I feel like I have hit the lottery for a few thousand dollars. When I purchased my original foam mattress and box spring, I paid over 1, 000.00 for the entire purchase, back in 2006. For what I paid for this mattress and frame, then finding the comfort and the benefits I have ended up being provided is only a plus all the way around. I can't shout loud enough how happy I am with these products and would honestly and wholeheartedly recommend to anyone else who is trying to decide on purchasing the mattress and platform frame to not be concerned if you will be totally satisfied. (Very shortly, I will be leaving a 5-star rating for the Zinus 14 inch Smart Base Platform Frame, in addition to this one. The frame only compliments the mattress I've purchased. The frame is very sturdy and doesn't move, AT ALL, with the two foam mattresses and myself are on the bed. I am 6'2 and my weight is 205lbs. There is an 8-inch foam mattress being used as the support for the new 6-inch Basic Foam Mattress, including my weight, all is being supported without any notice to any stress to the frame in any manner. I believe my older foam full mattress weighs around 94 lbs, + my weight, 205, + 6 inch mattress = 39 lbs, =338 lbs. I have heard no noises like squeaking or any other noises. The frame doesn't move AT ALL, while I'm on the bed and only compliments the comfort I receive from the mattress. I have spent less than 200.00 dollars for the entire purchase for the mattress and the platform frame, and all this comfort feels like I've finally have won the war on finding something that works as well as I would have expected if I had paid for a high-end mattress and frame.)

Since getting this mattress I have had some of the best sleep I can remember. Sure, its only been a week, but its been a great week. Our Previous mattress that we used for about 5 years was a 6in Ikea spring mattress. I would constantly toss and turn all night. It was too the point to where I wore a hole in a set of sheets. it was bad. The mattress was struggling to hold its shape. This mattress is pretty firm. It has enough give to contour to your body when you lay on it, but its not one of those cloud-like pillow top mattresses that envelop your body when you lay on this. This mattress is supportive. I sleep on all sides of my body, but I think I am more of a side sleeper. I don't wake up with body aches anymore and I sleep through most of the night, rarely waking up. Because of it's firmness, this mattress won't be for everyone. I took a chance on it and was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I both are about 140lbs each and have not had an issue with bottoming out or the mattress holding shape. 2 of the corners didn't quite go up to the full 6inches, but come on, does that really matter? The rest of the mattress is perfect. Very pleased. Amazing value! I would without question buy this mattress again.

After reading some reviews, after purchasing it, I was worried about what I may receive. After opening the box, I was curious as to how the hell I would return this if needed. (Based on other comments UPS requires us to box it to send it back) I open it, the air is sucked out, it’s totally flat and rolled up. I look it over, it LOOKS GOOD! But no way will it expand to 6”. I return to my office for a couple hours and left it in the suctioned wrapper. I return and it puffed up. I measure it and it was just at 6”. I am very pleased and have only one complaint, why didn’t I go with the 8”?! Though my baby says it is comfortable, I didn’t realize how thin 6” would be 😩 Not sure if I’d want bigger than 8”, maybe 10”, I need samples next time. My husband said he should have let me buy our king size mattress, would have saved us over a thousand bucks. He loves it! I like it but needs to be thicker. My butt sinks right through. It seems to form to the body.

This bed is amazing, it’s my 5th day sleeping on it—next Monday makes a week. Although upon the first night, my back definitely had to adjust to the sudden change, ever since then it’s been like sleeping on nothing but a nice, supportive cloud. I could swear to you that my back hasn’t felt relief like this in a while—while sleeping. The opening, which my sister insisted on doing, were a little complicated at first, since she used a screwdriver😂 but all in all—we’d got it out it’s packaging pretty quickly. Which it inflated in like 5-7 minutes, with no problems..we were actually surprised & thought it had way more to go.. However since I’d gotten the six inch, that’s probably why, lol which.. I thought when seeing it inflate, I might’ve made a mistake…but wow if this bed is not super thick? I’m telling you, I do not need box springs under me, well that & the bed I purchased probably helps… (purchase at your own risk in that case!) 🤣 I’m joking, but no this bed is awesome to be the price that it is. I 100% recommend.

Si el producto cumple con las características de calidad la caja ea lo de menos, pero el colchón es demasiado delgado a la hora de que te sientas, tocas el piso. Más que colchón. Su función es como de colchoneta. Pero te lo venden como colchón. Para nada lo recomiendo.

I love this mattress. I bought it for my mom for when she stays with me. When I received it, I opened it on the floor and let it expand for 3 days, then I put it on top of the box spring. Like everything else memory foam, the dimensions are a *little* off and there's a bit of overhang on from the box spring, and a noticeable gap when fitted sheets are placed on it. I didn't think I'd like it at first, since when I first got it and went to lay on it, it felt like laying on the hardwood floor. But after just a second you start sinking in and all of a sudden you're in the comfiest bed you've laid in and you accidentally take an hour nap in it. It's about the price of a regular mattress, it performs better, and should last longer without having springs or wear and tear. Memory foam isn't for everyone so I would suggest trying one out first at a department store or something before actually buying one. I didn't have the luxury as I live in Fort McMurray, and mattress were on massive back order from the wildfire and my mom was coming up to "surprise" me so I didn't have time to look around. This mattress was a gamble that paid off.

I've been sleeping on it every night for the past 3 years and it's great! It's confortable and I like it! Some people may think that it is a little bit hard but I like it that way. It's memory foam so after a few seconds, it takes the shape of my body and it's feels like I'm floating. :-) ZZzzzzz

Firm support; excellent quality and value. Best bed for the money. I use it as a guest bed and all my visitors love it They ask me where can I get one?. Can't say enough good things about it.
