What size are the wheels and can they be replaced?

Could not locate a way to remove the wheel from my old Samsonite wheeled case. That is why I purchased a new one. The wheel on my old case fell apart in the airport while I was pulling it.

How deep is it? (front to back)

The actual case front to back is 10 inches. The wheels add 3/4 inch for total of 10.75 inches

The size is over Spirit Airlines personal bag allowance by .25". Does anyone know if it can squeeze in?
